ORCHID TANK - is it the same thread as kayfun base?

have ben looking at kayfuns for the last 2 weeks desciding if i should buy one. plan on setting up a nano kit, and have all the info i need besides one IMPORTANT PART.


are the threads for the orchid tank, the same as the kayfun? ive ben posting this question to few fourums for the last week and it seams no one has both to try, or no one cares...

Yes,there are several of us using kayfun tanks on the orchid,so the orchid tank would thread onto a kayfun as well.The threads are the same on both.

i really like the look of the orchid - just not a fan/user of dual coils.

the thread pitch is the same, but what about the other dimensions? I thought a good number of kayfun aftermarket kits are not compatible with the orchid without modification.

The problem with the aftermarket kayfun kits on the orchid,is most of the kayfun tanks are a bit taller than an orchid tank,plus the kayfun has a taller chimney,so the problem you run into with that is,when using the kayfun tank on an orchid,the orchid chimney is a bit to short to reach the top cap,so you have to modify the kf tank,although the kf nano tanks fit with no modification.That should not be an issue with the orchid tank on a kayfun though.

No problem,when i switched out my orchid tank for a glass kit,i was curiuos so i tried the tank on my kayfun,it didn't look too bad,almost looked like the orchid.Actually if you want to keep the look of the orchid,the tank and top cap will both work with that base.I'm just the opposite from you though,i like my dual coils far better than the singles.I wish the orchid would have came out before i bought my kayfuns,because now i have 2 kf clones that are just sitting collecting dust haha.
