okay so I just bought the orchid v2. if anybody else has this and could post some pictures of their build and maybe some general specifics about it gauge wire, # wraps, diameter of coil. I would greatly appreciate it have yet to build on it not quite sure where to start.

using on a 4nine mod. and probably a 50 50 blend juice.

you think it would be a bad idea to use a high VG 85% or so?

wicking is important I think I had a lot of problems wicking on my kayfun cuz I always got dry hits it sucked pure cotton yummy

I think you could use high vg. The juice channels are pretty big and the airflow is good.

My build is 7 wraps of 26g on 3/32" drill bits per coil, for a total resistance of 0.4ohm. I'm vaping it on a Stingray X. I do not run any wick into the channels. I trim the ends to fit exactly around the base.

I might be able to post the build tomorrow when I rewick, but I've been having the worst time posting pics here the last couple weeks.

I posted my build/wick in another thread here:
http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/rebuildable-atomizer-systems/594315-orchid-rba-help-please-3.html#post14702741

OP said he had good results when he built his the same. These days I usually go with 24 ga., 3/32", 8 wraps for 0.3 Ω (0.6 Ω each coil), and KGD cotton.

My typical juices are no higher than about 70%VG, so I don't run into any wicking problems. I'd imagine if I chain vaped some 85%VG I might run into some dry-hits though, but KGD cotton is pretty amazing stuff. I wouldn't doubt if it handled it without a problem.
