Best RTA I've tried, and I own 13! Zero leaks from mine provided you don't try and cheat by filling from the top cap. Use the Bottom port, leave a bubble as crxess mentions and you'll have zero issues.

Do note that it has no airflow control, but on mine it's not an issue, as wide open is where I like it. It's juuuuuust shy of a direct lung inhale, but closer than any other tank I've tried, including the Squape Reloaded, Rose2, KFL+2/Russ91, Russian2.0, Lemo, Fogger4/5.

My only issue is that you need to wick very short and ensure none of the ends get pushed into the juice channels, or it won't feed high VG reliably. Never had an issue with anything below an 80/20 mix either way.

I have mine setup with dual 28g coils for a 0.37 ohm total, wicked with Japanese cotton. Vaping on straight mech for around 37-45W effective and it tastes great.

Also note that Kayfun threaded tanks work with it, so you can swap for any of the clear PMMA or other kits that are designed for the KF, like this:

One con is it leaks after filling it. Check out YouTube. If you can get past that it is a great vape.

I have actually found mine much easier to top-fill than bottom-fill. Cover the air holes, unscrew the top, make sure the chimney is tight, fill, sit the top on and turn backwards till the threads line up, flip upside down, screw on snug, and done. Sounds like more work than it is, and doesn't leak a drop. Then again I'm using 80%VG juice, so I might just have sheer viscosity on my side. Then again when bottom-filling I lose more than stays in the thing, so idk...

I like mine so far. The first build I did leaked real bad out the air holes. I rebuilt it using way less cotton and seems to be pretty good now. I do get a leak here and there though. Flavor is on par with my kayfun...but the vapor production of the V4 blows my kayfun away...but I lung inhale the V4 and mouth to lung my kayfun due to the tighter draw.

I top fill mine as well. It always leaks when being filled. It took me 12 builds to not get any leaks. I had to post here for advice. Wicking is key. The road is steep with the orchid. I do however, love it and now that I know how it build it, it's awesome. I found the big dripper easier to build than this one.

Out of curiosity, where can one even get an authentic, I hear they are very hard to find.

I love my Plume Veil 1.5 and can tell Aethertech did just as an amazing job on an RTA

I don't believe you will find an authentic v4,as this is refinements of the clone,as far as i know there was only a v1 and possibly a v2 made by Aethertech, and i'm not even sure if they ever released a v2 version. If you look through the rebuildable section here though, there is a thread about the authentic one,and alot of people that bought it ended up buying a clone after it,and most made the conclusion that the clone is better than the authentic.

As for the original question, the pros are that unlike the v1-v3 that uses a shorter tank, the v4 will use stock full sized kayfun tanks,it holds about 4ml of juice, great flavor, excellent cloud production, etc. the only con i have found is that it doesn't come with a glass tank, which a kayfun quartz kit can be used though.

Oh ok, thanks for the response. My next question would be, who makes the v4 clone that everyone loves so much, and where would one procure that thing

There are a few places to get them from. One is the place posted above, you can also get them from fasttech, which alot of people here are getting and seem to be a good one. There are also several vendors selling the tobeco version, which is the one i have. You can also find these on ebay, which is where i got mine from.

I actually prefer the big dripper although it sucks the juice up like crazy. It's super easy to build. You have to watch filling it up above the cap line though to get a full 4-5mls of juice but the vapor and air flow is astounding. The issues surrounding the orchid with leaking and finicky wicking makes me like the big dripper a bit more. Mind you, if I kept mucking around with the orchid, I might like that better but the dripper has amazing flavour. (I think anyways.)
