Just received the Orchid "v6" from FT, but iirc the Orchid v6 is just another version with a glass tank option. Can anyone tell me what version's build deck and chimney this "v6" uses so I can research builds, wicking, etc.?

Thanks in advance!

Builds on your Orchid won't be any different than any of the others. There are plenty of threads on Orchid builds here already.

Your chimney is threaded to the top cap. That's the only difference, but it has no relevance to building on the deck.

A pic can be worth a thousand words... I posted one in this thread the OP found helpful.

Orchid Rba HELP PLEASE!

Ok I thought there were differences in juice channel size, chimney size, etc. between the different versions. Nice to know what version I'm working with when reading other posts.

Thanks for the link, that pic actually looks just like my build and wicking - I didn't find any need to "glue" the wick with e juice or tuck tails into the channel in order to get a good vape without any leaking.

Thanks,

I believe there may be some sort of kit out there that turns the chimney in to a two piece, but I may be mistaken. Honestly, I don't understand the difference between the V4, V5, and V6 versions; other than aesthetics, it all seems the same to me.

I'd love for anyone to explain what the actual differences (if any) are there;

The v4 and v5 seem to be exactly the same with the exception of the plastic tank,the 5 being plastic all the way up.The v6 is different in a few ways,the tank is glass and is held secure by the top cap threading to the chimney rather than to a plastic tank.

Why screw with a great product. Out of the box the Orchid V6 is a great vape. The only thing I did was take out the air adjustment screws on the bottom. Otherwise this is far and away the best Orchid yet.

I didn't realize it had adjustable air. Did they open up the holes first? I find the V4's a little restrictive. I bored all 4 holes out to 7/64" on all my V4's and now it's the perfect vape.

Yes, the V6 has adjustable airflow via the bottom. For me I like alot of air so I just took them out. The V6 is a great vape, with the latger tank and it being glass, it really shines now. Just be careful when ordering as some V6's don't have the glass tank. I ordered from FT, but I'm seeing them now stateside at 14 dollars, a deal for this Orchid version. It really is the best yet.

Where are you finding them for $14 here in the states?I've checked around a few vendors,ebay,and googled but i cant find them that cheap here.I was getting ready to order a couple from fasttech tommorow,but if i can get them faster,i'd rather go that way.

*Edit* Nevermind,i found them at angel ecigs,going to order a couple tommorow,and not have to wait weeks to get them haha.Although for anyone interested,fasttech does have great deals on spare glass and the glass seals,i will still be ordering those from them.
