Orig Crown tank and Eleaf Ikonn don't play together well (or at all)

Seriously bummed..... just received a Crown tank (original) to use on my Eleaf Ikonn. Because of the air flow ring- it doesn't fit. To be exact- it will screw in and fire but the sliding cover that goes over the tank won't fit.
I guess this really isn't a 22mm tank?
Hoping some clever person may have a 'fix'?

It barely fits on the Eleaf Pico- with some severe scrapping against the battery cover, and sits slightly tilted, but fires. I know a heat sink adapter will help with the Pico, but not the Ikonn.

It's 22mm at the base only.
It won't fit any of my side by sides.
I don't see how you could get to fit the Ikonn, without some serious dremmeling.
Surprised you were able to squeeze it on the Pico. I have read some will dremmel the cap.
I just use it on a Pico 25.
Hopefully someone that has an Iconn will see this and have a solution.

I thought about dremelling it down a bit. It's only missing by a very small margin (1mm may do it- basically the ridges on the air flow ring). Just would rather see if anyone has a better solution before I start shaving down a new tank.
I saw an older post about removing the air flow ring, which I am OK with as I keep it wide open anyway- BUT then you can't top fill the tank (which requires the air flow to be closed before removing the cap.)

Instead of dremmeling the tank, maybe dremmel the battery cap on the mods?

Put a piece of tape on the cap where it touches the tank. Remove and replace the cap a number of times to see if the threading of the cap returns it to the same spot repeatedly. That way you could just dremmel that spot on the cap. Some touch up paint of the right color could make it look nearly good as new.

The iKonn 220 is 28mm, the Crown does fit.

That would work, but he's working with a "side by side".
Needs room to slide the cover on.

I didn't realize that mod has a slide on cover. That does present a problem.
