The closest I have seen is a monitor that tells you how many volts are left. Not even close really.

The Esmart comes in 808d or 510. I got her the 510 so that she could have a greater range of flexibility. The "new" esmart kits are basically a 320mah mini Evod regulated at 3.4 volts. The new bottom coil ones come with 1.8 ohm heads and you can get replacements in 1.8 or 2.2 ohm. I would recommend the 1.8 ohm. It keeps the wattage around 6.4 and the 2.2 ohm head drops it below 6. I don't think many flavors are really going to shine below 6 watts.

Joan, you are a vape beast. I can go two 12 hour shifts on my 1000mah Evod and not run out of power. My wife vapes even less than me. She can make a G6 last four days. For her the battery life is not an issue. Even at 1.8 ohms she should get two or more days out of her Esmart.

Then for her this sounds like a great gift but with the short batt life on them, not sure it would be for most unless just a real short period starter kit before an upgrade was needed. If I remember, you didn't use your cigalike long before wanting/needing an upgrade and I would prefer skipping that step even if looking back at my progression.

Yeah, I don't vape like most. I tend to puff on it more like a pipe smoker and really don't inhale but those short puffs all the time really kill batts fast. My kid has an mvp and I get about 12 hrs out of it.

I do think that your wife will be really happy with her Mom's Day present

I had one for awhile....but not anymore...there is something strange about being tied in to a plug while vaping...it didn't "feel" right..

She was one of those people that could make a pack of cigs last a week if she wanted too. So, there is a bit of difference. What made the biggest difference (for me) with the Evod was the regulated voltage. Just having that consistency from beginning to end alleviated most of my issue. The easier maintenance nearly knocked out all of my issues. The fact that it tastes so much better is kind of icing on the cake. I could have made due with the Esmart if I hadn't found other devices first. The charging would be annoying, but I already carry a big gear bag to work. So, the kit wouldn't make much difference.

Personally I vape like a cigar smoker. I take long deep draws. I was more likely to hit the battery protection on my auto battery than not.

Great idea but would go with the something similar if you think she will ever use tanks with them. They worked great with the carts but not their tanks, had to keep pulling center post up everytime I changed tanks or charged it, returned and 2nd set did the same so sent back and got the regular Tritons and they work like a champ. Mine were the auto batts.

Thanks for the tip, I definitely have some research to do before I make a decision on which one to buy, but I already know there is little chance she will want to mess with tanks. Of course if she does decide to try them I would be happy to help her learn to maintain/refill the tanks. Unfortunately I have already tried to get her to agree to trying an ecig, and she constantly says she doesn't think it will work because she doesn't really smoke like everyone else I've known. First of all, she basically just sits with a cigarette in her mouth constantly, and when she takes a drag off of one she doesn't even inhale it, she just pulls it into her mouth and then blows it out (which I never understood). So I think she will want something lighter and more like a cigarette, at least to start with.

Anyways, on to the question

We are talking about gifting starter sets to people... now with the gift, are you going to give juice with that? How are you going to decide what flavor and nic level? Are you going to help them find a juice they like if they don't like the original one?

I will definitely be getting her some juice with the purchase, and I already have a few ideas of what flavor to start her out on. If I go with the Halo G6 it will be the Belgian Cocoa, Cafe Mocha, and/or Twisted Java. Obviously if she doesn't like those I will definitely help her find something she enjoys.

Haven't posted here in awhile - so after catching-up with the past few post I want to comment on a few of the questions first . . .

Do you have local B&M vape stores and do you buy only from them or do you buy everything online? (or both)

Although, there are a number of B&M that have recently opened around here (approximately 20 within a 10 radius in the past year), I only have purchased items online which is much less expensive - even with shipping cost included (Well except for a few things at a Vape meet that I was able to get at a really reasonable cost) . . .

Q: Have you saved any money by converting to vaping?

Question: Have you ever been to a Vapercon/Fest/Bash/Meet or similar?

Local Vape Meet a few times and then supposedly a BIG One in NYC - which was absolutely horrible . . . Not only was it no better then the local meet I go to, it was extremely BORING and not worth the money I paid as an entrance fee - nor the trouble it was to get there . . . Just Sayin' . . .

Who would go sub-ohm if they were sold premade?

The only thing that stopped me from going back was the Evod starter kit I bought from Origin Vape. Even with the SM30 topper, it was miles and miles from the G6 I had. I have moved on to other toppers, but that original SM30 got me over the hump. It also helped convince my wife to stick in there when she hit the wall with her G6. That SM30 topper convinced her that it could work for her. She wanted something smaller and closer to the G6 in size. So, we went a different route for her. That SM30 on my Evod at night pulled her through though.

I would love to see the starter kits offered with an Evod 2. However, if somebody is moving up and doesn't mind the size I recommend the Evod battery with the Mini Protank 3. That tank is great. The base has a cupped design that keeps the juice on the head even when it is nearly empty. It tastes cleaner, and the drip tip never gives of that surgical instrument taste that some stainless ones will. The Pro Tank Mini 3 is the best low capacity Kanger I have tried, hands down.

That is great to hear Mike! The SM30 is a great starter tank, we tested it beforehand and it passed our gold standard. We are looking into the EVOD 2, but kanger keeps changing up on us so we are thinking they will have something in the form of the EVOD tank that will take their newest dual coil heads (the ones they will use on the mega aerotank). That we will definitely look for and grab for the starter kits.
