1. Not really a "favorite" show, but these 2 shows I've watched with my daughter and it's helped open up dialog between us and it opened her eyes to the reality and consequences of having sex and getting pregnant as a teen. And it's showed her that, that boy you love so much and loves you so much aren't going to live a fairy tale a lot of girls dream of where you get married and have this super happy family together. I was a teen mom and I wish there would have been show around back then.

True Detective was my fave show this past year. I loved Walter White and all, but I don't think there was any finer acting on TV than Matthew McConaughey in True Detective. The back and forth of his past/present self was high art.

True Detective is another one of my favorite shows! At least this one IS coming back, but without Matthew, I wonder if it will be as good.

Babylon 5 - A lot of people poo-poo'd it when it started.... but that's because plot seeds that were planted in season one didn't come to fruition until season 4 or 5. Further, the story of the shadow war was actually condensed because of the threat of cancellation, before the show was moved to another network. Last, while the show was actually filmed in widescreen (unheard of in the 1990's), Warmer Bros. lost the widescreen digital effects, so the effects as seen on the DVDs are sub-par and make the show look worse than it really was...
