My mom is Austrian and occasionally lapses on certain English words. Of course, as a child, my speaking skills were influenced by her as much as by my father or friends. So, one day in class, I was describing the substance candles are made of and referred to it as "vax" (because, in German, the "w" is pronounced "v). All of the kids looked at me like I was some sort of imbecile: "It's called 'wax,' dummy!"

#1 - I'm like some of the others on here...I can't really think of anything my family did to embarrass me...I'm usually pretty good at doing that my own self...and those I'd rather not share...don't want to get "Moved On" either!

So I'll just stick to things I find on the net...

LOL right around my 16th birthday I went out for pizza with my parents. They had a booth type jukebox. When I went to the restroom my dad put in "Your 16 by Ringo Starr" and YES he got on the table and sang it to me.

Bah somebody tell me how to link GIFs..That is the Techno Viking...I guess my dad was the dancing and singing Viking that day
