What cultures other then your own do you find most intriguing and why?

The First would be - "Sweden/Swedish Culture" . . .

As a child I was lucky enough to meet a few people who came here from other countries. One of them was a friend of mine from grammar school and his Family that I meet who were originally from Sweden. They introduced "Me" a little to what life was like there, the culture, and especially to the Foods . . . I had a GREAT Time learning from the matriarch of the family who was always in the kitchen when I came over and treated "Me" as part of the family too . . . I would really like to visit and learn more someday . . .

BTW: Of Course there was - "ABBA" too . . .

I watch way too much History Channel and Discovery Channel. When you said that, my first thoughts were what they do, and their beliefs, and how their culture has affected Australia.

The Korean Culture
From my experience being there when I was in the army. It is so misunderstood.
You can climb an unknown mountain and find beautiful things.

Korean culture
Have been there a few times but didn't get to spend much time getting out and really seeing the country. Seen some of the temples/shrines and they had some really intricate work in them.

Oh, I love the "the dream of butterfly" of Zhuang Zhou.

Someday I would love to travel through India and see some of their shrines. Those Hindu monks had a firm grasp of the inner workings of the mind long before most of the world. If you look past the polytheism on steroids (thousands of deities!), they have an amazingly deep and profound spirituality.
(just picked up a really nice copy of the Bhagavad Gita, at a local thrift shop of all places).
Sent with one hand, the other is busy vaping.

I lived in the jungles of Honduras with the army about 20 years ago. Most of the rural people live in extreme poverty without even enough food for themselves, but they were the most giving people.

I must say this was first on my list....You took the words right out of my mouth.....and I love the beautiful artwork in this book....(yes I do have a copy...)
