Well I am moving to cookeville Tenn. And my gf will be following me once I get my own place. Other then that, there is nothing going on in my life.

What is new with anyone? Anything fun?

Whaddyamean, "other than that"?!! I'm in the midst of a move myself (granted, it's from a big house and after 22+ years), and am pretty sure it's going to kill me!

I'm glad you're finally getting to move, Kevin. Good luck, enlist strong buddies, and remember, Goodwill/Salvation Army/DVA are your friends! ;)

Could be a bit of a culture shock. If you're not deeply religious (and by that I mean the same one everyone else in the region is), you may experience some religious intolerance and judgement. Been there...

The Bible Belt is cool if that's your thing, but it can be really annoying when shoved down ones' throat.

Agreed that it is beautiful though. Grew up in TN, and lived in that area again for 6 years until moving back to CA a couple years ago. I loved the scenery, and relative unspoilt landscape compared to CA.

you must have lived in the wrong place Blue lol I've been living in Lebanon, TN for around 16 years now...while there is a church on just about every street i haven't seen anyone shoving anything down anyone's throat. nor have i seen any religious intolerance/judgment but YMMV.

I agree it probably varies widely with exactly which region/town you're in... Was just my limited personal experience, in Shelby County TN and Marshall County MS, and did not mean to generalize quite that widely. Apologies to the cool folks in the South; I know you're there, I just didn't live anywhere near ya!

Aye, I will be shopping there once I get my own place! I am stoked, but I will not be in a happy state of mind about leaving the place I knew literally my whole life. I am just hoping the literal one friend I have here understands why I am. I need the change of people, everyone there is so nice.

Whoa - Long Island to Cookeville, TN! That's huge Krazy! Good luck. When will you be moving? That's great news about your gf following too btw!

July 6th is when I will be moving, I can not wait, thank you for the good luck wish, I will need it. I am excited she is coming, and next Halloween (not this one but the one after) We are planning to get married.

Wow, that is a huge change. Tennessee is beautiful.......... I bet you'll love it!

I have been there in the past, I am not sure what part because it was to visit my grandparents, I love it because everyone is so nice.

It hurt me to come up here and put up with people that want to put themselves first and not other's. I am so sick of NY it is not even funny. If you say hi to someone they think you are mugging them. Down there, they have a conversation with you if you are walking the same direction, until you both separate path's.

I am not religious at all, I believe in God, and Jesus, other then that I am not a bible person at all. But no one that I have met down there shoves it down anyones throat, which is good for me, because I can prove major loop holes in any religion. Thankfully I have been to Tenn before and S.C (hated S.C) and S.C is worse for religion then any state I been to.

Aye, I have not noticed that either, but what I did notice is a lot of churches everywhere.

we have a small farm in Scottsville Ky, just north of the state line. its quiet, and still close enough to Nashville to find something to do. good luck new neighbor!!!

Thank you KyFather! I am hoping to cross path's with you if you are near me! I would love to meet some new friends!!! P.S I do not bite... Hard anyway xD

Hey it is quite alright lol! I try not to bring religion up due to the fact that I love to play devils advocate, and destroy every religion's teachings. I have converted a priest of 25 years to being wiccan at one point.

I will point out that when I visited, it was a different story and just like you guys say. It was when we lived there, and did not conform, that it got bad. We lived in a town with population of about 5500. After 5 years in the area my wife developed the theory that southern hospitality lasts about 2 weeks. After that things change. Speaking from our own experience there it was difficult to disagree with her.

I guess it could have been us, to be fair. Maybe we just suck as people lol

Sorry to have vanished, I have finished (well almost) packing my room. I am just hanging around the house now playing a few games with friends, and mostly vaping all day. I am looking at different things in the E-cig world, and mostly the new V4L batteries and drooling all over them. I can't wait to get enough money to where I can buy some new ones and the tanks.
