I noticed that when it comes to the dna 30 chip there seems to be a fair number of options other then the Hana and the Cloupor's (rDNA, protovape, Zen's etc). The only 50 watt mods I've seen are the Sieglei, Cloupor, and the IPV2. Are there any other higher quality 50 Watt boxes out there? I'd like one as a back up to my mechs for when I'm traveling, working, etc.

The HexOhm by Craving Vapor is a really good, reliable backup mod in my opinion, it's the main reason I bought it to use as my daily driver, I knew when I eventually went to something else, this would be solid like a tank for trips in the suitcase and such. It's just an all out balls to the wall high power mod, with no LED/LCD display and variable voltage. It's an OKR-10 chip.

I was gonna pull the trigger on the IPV or SIG, but the lip on the IPV would make me nuts, and the Sigelei makes me nervous. My experience with my Cloupor was not pleasant. It was dead within a month due to a shoddy 510 connection. I'd rather spend money and get something thats well constructed and send back if something goes wrong after the warranty period. I was gonna get a vapor shark, but would prefer a 50 W just to have a wider range to play in. That DZ nuts looks right up my alley though..

I have a cloupor as well. It isn't close to the quality of the ipv.
Yeah, lip is annoying but the guts are more important to me than anything.
there is a new version of the 50w ipv out soon that is supposed to have a redesigned door (sand lip) along with being waterproof and having upgradable firmware. 1yr warranty and goes for less than 100 dollars. If you can find something objectively better for less money, seriously let me know.

which lip are you referring to? battery door? if so, it barely there. I have had this one for 2 weeks or so -- maybe an updated version

The lip varies a lot. Most only have a little bit on one side. Mine has it on all 4 corners.
Fortunately I'm not THAT ocd so I don't let it bother me.

Again, the board itself is fantastic so I don't sweat the small stuff.

If I wanted to nit pick then my biggest complaint is the placement of the USB port is plain stupid.

I could also do without the gimmicky touch fire sensor. They probably could have reduced the height of the mod by a half inch or so if they ditched the sensor.

Agreed on USB port.

Other complaint is the resistance value of your coil does not change on the display until you fire the device (at least on mine) instead of as soon as your screw it on.
