Other than health, why do prefer vaping over smoking?

A "side effect" I never imagined... my mouth feels fantastically clean!! Even when I wake up, it's just really nice! I am sure that's due to the high PG in my liquid but it's better than any gum, mint, etc that I have ever tried. I don't have any sensitivity to the PG and it doesn't even seem to dry my mouth out much unless I chain vape 0 nic liquid for hours LOL.

Also, the liquid I use does have fragrance in the vapor but it smells amazing and I can even smell traces of it in my living room when I get home from work and it's just fantastic!!! :vapor:

I never recalled being able to smoke cinnamon roll, pear, lemonade, or pina colada cigarettes. Maybe I didn't go to the right gas stations lol.
Not smelling like an ash tray and being able to taste food to its fullest and finally smelling the rain again! I can't think of a smell better than a nice spring time rain, maybe fresh baked chocolate chip cookies :D However, the increase sense of smell has it's major drawbacks, dog farts are vile *puke*

I've only been vaping about three weeks and it 'unintentionally' quelled my desire for cigars. I originalIy just wanted to cut my cigar consumption in half or smaller. So I loved fine cigars but here are some of the reasons I may never pick one up again.

1.Cost: My everyday cigar was $3 x 2/day=$6 minimum! But sometimes one of the two I smoked was a bigger, costlier cigar. Typically $8 to $10 but one in awhile a super premium costing $13 to $20. Ouch! So on those days $10+ minimum! So, in comparison even if I was wasteful and only used a carto or mini-tank once plus a few drops of juice my cost is roughly cut in half! There is some hardware investment with vaping. Batteries or AVP's, cartos, tanks, juice and so on. But cigars have theirs too. Lighters, cutters, humidification devices and storage to keep them fresh and the like.
But wait, for cigars it gets worse. My nearest dealer of fine cigars is 20 miles away so add gas. $8 a trip x the amount of trips per week! Anywho no more math. Vaping is less expensive and over time probably several magnitudes less.

2.Gadget Appeal: Cigars have some low tech gadget appeal but vaping has low and high tech. In the many ways you can heat the vapors. From basic batteries and heat coils in cartos to mechanical mods and other Advanced Personal Vapers like the eVic with oled screens, variable voltage and wattage. Different juice containers in cartos, mini-tanks, tanks with different materials like plastics, metals and Pyrex glass in variable shapes, sizes and colors!

3.Taste: Cigars have some good tastes and variety but not like vaping. The juice can taste, it seems, like just about anything you want under the sun including fine tobacco. Along with amazing intensity, accuracy and consistency! Cigars vary in taste but being almost completely organic that variance can be good or bad from one cigar to the next in the same box. And their performance in smoking can vary wildly too. Vaping is much more consistent.

4.I can now smoke (vape) almost anywhere!: And I don't have to freeze my ... off in Winter!! ...and I can vape in bed!!!

My reasons are just about the same as yours, not stinking, being able to vape anywhere, flavours, and of course, playing with cool toys :p Plus the cost of course. I didn't spend a crazy amount on cigaretes, a pack of rolling tobacco with papers and filters cost about 10€ and would last me a week. So I prefer the 12€ for 100ml of DIY liquid and flavouring that lasts for a month and a half, even 2 months by far. But the thing I like most about vaping (besides actually vaping of course) is the social aspect which is much better than that of smoking. Not just on this forum, but with friends that I convinced to switch to vaping. I prefer vaping, mixing DIY flavours, and discussing vaping related topics to be a much better experience than moping about smoking cigarettes, outside in the cold...

It is a hobby, let's face it. You have an endless buffet of juices and you have a good selection of RBA to rebuild, many mods to choose from, with some you can fix yourself! With cigs it is less involved.

at times i am seeing this as a drawback...must stop shopping and playing :)

Other than health, by which I understand to mean less likelihood of getting lung cancer and/or COPD...

1. Increased lung capacity, something that is dear to me as a singer.

2. No stink, something that is dear to me as a musician who books his own gigs.

3. Cost effectiveness, something that is dear to me as a consumer.

4. Lack of regulation, something that I take advantage of while vaporizing in the grocery store, restaurants, or while standing in line.

5. Gadget appeal (see Detail Man's post above), I enjoy tinkering with mechanical and electric gadgets, and PVs are fun to fuss with. I'm already working on a mod of my own design...

6. Novelty, I love explaining what I'm doing with a PV to passersby, smokers, and even LEOs, as happened last weekend while camping.

In sum, I prefer darned near to everything about vaporizing instead of smoking.
