just got sold these, not by a store so I can’t return them. It’s going by European dates so it is out of day but only by 2 months. Is it safe to consume?

    There really Isn't a lot inside an e-liquid that goes Bad. And if a e-liquid is stored in a Cool, Dark Place, it can last a Very Long Time.

    ETA: When I say "Bad", I mean something that could Hurt You. Verses not tasting as Good as when it was Originally made.

    Expiration dates are purely arbitrary. I've had juices that turned dark and nasty in less than a year and others that are still fine after three to four years. Since it doesn't look dark and nasty, if it tastes good, I'd vape it.
    what about this one

    'Best before' dates on eliquid are generally 2 years after manufacture. Why ? No-one knows because no tests have ever been done on what the difference is between 1 yr old liquid and 5 yr old liquid....
    I've vaped homebrew after 4 years and it's been fine. I've also vaped 1 year old liquid that had no taste at all.
    There is the potential for the nicotine to oxidise and lose potency and there is the potential for the flavouring to degrade and change but other than that i know of no reason not to vape 'out of date liquid'.

    TLDR;
    If it tastes ok then vape it. :thumbs:

    I've had juices turn pretty dark on me that still taste fine, I don't think that's the be all end all indicator of whether or not a juice has gone bad. Just my experience, YMMV.
    Maybe. But if a juice that was a nice light color when it was fresh has turned dark brown after a year or two in storage, I just can't bring myself to vape it. :oops:

    Mine go dark within a couple3, 4 months, if they’re going to change. If they suddenly change after that, afterstaying the same for some time, I’d be suspicious.

    Can't blame you there, I think I would feel the same way if a juice SUDDENLY turned a dark color because I'd had it on the shelf for a year. But for the most part, since I don't make enormous batches of e-liquid, mine change pretty gradually over the first couple of months, and I don't have them around long enough to see what happens after a year or two.

    Yeah, this has never happened with anything I've made myself. But it has happened with a couple of vendor juices I stocked up on early on. Funny thing is that others of roughly the same vintage, stored in the same cupboard, were just fine.

    Anyway, I'd decide based on condition; what it looks like, smells like, and tastes like; not some utterly arbitrary date printed on a label.

    It's almost certainly fine. Expiration dates are completely arbitrary. I've seen bad ejuice, like truly bad, as in carrier liquids have gone rancid, and it tends to get really dark like tar and smell nasty. Judging by the color, it's not entered the nasty realm yet. Worst case scenario here is that the taste won't be to your liking, or it won't have the nicotine hit you're after. It's not going to make you sick or anything. Worth trying at least.
