The shell doesn't look different?

No. It is the same stock pic for the Ovale v8. Used by all the Chinese wholesale vendors. Anyway, that video is more than 2 months old. I think you are confusing the Ovale v8 with the Gripper (I noticed you talking about the Gripper on other threads).

Huge off topic, but:
If you want good battery boxes look here: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...oltage-evercool-quality-look-great-price.html
I have 4. battery boxes at this moment (2. of them built by myself) and all models with switching regulation are one of the best i tried. You also need voltage display, without it you will never know what is the best voltage for different types of cartos/attys and different e-liquids.
V8 does not have switching psu, it has pulse, similar to akston hughes for example and this is best power supply for vaping. And it is cheaper and look nicer than any hand made battery box.

Penguinrudder: if ultrafire battery works in V8 use them and don't worry. Because they are little taller only possible problem is that you can brake battery holder, but i don't think that 1mm can make difference.

Thanks zogu. I'm using the Ultrafire batteries now. My V8's working just fine. Being careful with the battery cover though.

This might seem like a really dumb/obvious question...but does the voltage go up in increments, or is it just 3,5,6?

I've only seen pics with 5 & 6 on the readout, and since it's rather inexpensive, I just wanna check... *blush*

ETA: okay, I just looked at it on discountvapers & it says 'incremental VV' in the title. *facepalm*

*slinks back to the corner with her laptop...and credit card...*

I think I have asked a few obvious questions in this thread myself.....

So, I've got my Ovale V8, and i'm really enjoying it! I'm also having some problems though. I've got two sets of bats, the blue ones that came from Discountvapors and a red pair of AW that came from RTD. When I received the piece, I charged the batteries for 4 hours, like the instruction said, and in a few hours It was reading LO, so I put in the other ones, that I also charged for 4 hours and it was also reading LO. Then kept the batteries on the charger until the light turned green (did not know that it did that) and it was great all day, but now is shooting me a LO. I'm wondering if the carto in the tank that I'm using is too low resistance (it came with the kit, and I'll include a picture) I have some black bogue 3.0 carts that I can use with this, but I really enjoy using a tank. I've also read things about not tightening it too much, so I don't.

I also notice that sometimes when I am using it it flashes the lines on the display, like It's turned off. I really enjoy this piece, and am a little frustrated at this point.... Any help?

Thanks,

I've had that same issue before with the V8. I bought a 901 atomizer with 2.5 ohms and never had that issue again. Moody had that same issue before also and the vendor told her to get a carto with a higher resistance and it also worked out.

Ok cool, I've got a 3.0 boge standing by. This was my first time using a tank and I love it! Let down I'll have to wait until I get better tank carts!

Hey Joewp, welcome to the Ovale V8 family lol!! Hope you get your problems sorted out soon! I think that, like some other VV devices, the Ovale doesn't like LR dual coils... I may be wrong though...

Joe, Do yourself a favor and get a good charger. I don't think it takes 4 hours to charge these batteries -- my experience is that it is 1 - 2 hours on a good charger. As soon as the light turns green, take them off the charger.

A few hours is all you will get from them, with low resistance, in my experience. I got some of the 1200 mAh batteries, and they last longer. I use low resistance cartos in a tank, too. If you have any questions, feel free to PM me. I am liking the 1200 batteries.

Seems like it. It's odd they would include a LR carto in their package though. Oh well, it's working now with a boge and fresh batts, so all is well!

Fantastic :D! Happy for you Joe!

So, guys and gals... what juice are you vaping? At the moment I am loving my Cotton Candy from VaporGod!
