Ovale V8 VV discussion!

Yay, so nice to hear from everyone... Well almost everyone.

Hmmm... I am getting tempted with that darn Vivi Nova. Every which way I turn, I hear how awesome it is. Not to exaggerate, I must have more than 100 cartos, Stardusts, etc. I promised myself not to buy any more. At least not until I have my PINK Ovale v8 and of course my engraved Twist. Yep.... Not to derail the Ovale thread now, but.... The Twist now comes in engraved. A thing I never thought would happen, since the eGo Q's & K's and the Twist are made by different companies!

Anyway..... Vivi Nova. WHY do I need one for my Ovale. Please explain . (I mean convince....)

Its pretty good, I dont taste any coffee, but taste is subjective! I love their Gooey Butter Cake and Gingerbread Trifle though! I would love to try some of their other juices but cant make up my mind which ones, any suggestions anyone??

Less work than a carto tank, great vapor, great throat hit and great flavor! Works great from the get go, I havent had any dry hits or leaking so far! Need I say more?

The wife loves Gingerbread, she says it taste like Ms T's snickerdoodle.
Val's snicker is like a light Gingerbread with more of a sugar cookie taste.
I must have razzle dazzle berry, it's a good mixed berry.
Strawberry lemalaid needs 3-5 days steep, but it's the best straw/lem I've had. When it's bright yellow in color, it's ready.
AG's Dream needs about 5 days to steep and it's awesome. One of the reviews is spot on.
D's all day, is not for me...more cantaloupe/honydew tasting.
Golden Gate Punch wasn't for me either, not fruity enough.
Pear-Berry is weird, but in a good way. sort of sweet pear and sour berry mix.

....ok,ok, back to v8 discussion...lol.

I'm using Canadian blend (right now), Cowboy Blend, Perique Black, Virginia, Shade, RY4 and Cuban Supreme from FlavourArt and Gold Ducat from Inawera. All this I have with me in bottles, 3 filled tanks, 2. pieces of V8 and one my mod

Joe, Do yourself a favor and get a good charger. I don't think it takes 4 hours to charge these batteries -- my experience is that it is 1 - 2 hours on a good charger. As soon as the light turns green, take them off the charger.

A few hours is all you will get from them, with low resistance, in my experience. I got some of the 1200 mAh batteries, and they last longer. I use low resistance cartos in a tank, too. If you have any questions, feel free to PM me. I am liking the 1200 batteries.

Seems like it. It's odd they would include a LR carto in their package though. Oh well, it's working now with a boge and fresh batts, so all is well!

Good thing it resolved the issue. Tanks will be a lot better and safer with the V8. Accidentally dripped e-juice exactly where the holes are, twice, had to take apart the V8 and clean the inside. Good thing not much went in.

Hey Joewp, welcome to the Ovale V8 family lol!! Hope you get your problems sorted out soon! I think that, like some other VV devices, the Ovale doesn't like LR dual coils... I may be wrong though...

It doesn't like lr dual coils. It kinda likes lr atomizers.

It doesn't leak. Ever.
It doesn't have any filler so you don't get that muted flavor.
The tubes are interchangeable, are available in metal for clearomizer-killer flavors and come in many colors including pink.

ETA: I want every color so I can tell which one hold which flavor by sight.

I have been having more than my fair share of headaches from the v8. I am using it with aw imr batteries and a 4-ohm Thor. I've been running mostly in the 3.5 to 3.7 volt range. After only an hour or so, the indicator says "Lo" while firing. I'm charging the batteries on an old Trustfire TR-001 charger. They come off peaked at 4.23v, and the error occurs at 3.82 volts. What kind of charger should I be using with these batteries? Am I getting a false peak?

Awesome. Thanks . And pink too... (Hehe... Not sure what my obsession with pink is as this late stage of my life is all about. Maybe horrible flashbacks of chrome, beige, browns and bad hair, from the 80's lol!!!)

I love those metal tubes and have been very tempted every time I place an order at Health Cabin... I am thinking that a gold (erm... green?) one will look spectacular on my Gold Ovale!
I wonder if the metal tubes will become available for the Mini Nova. OK, so you say that the taste is not muted because of no filler... I find that I prefer the flavor of juices with a carto more than a Stardust. I can't believe I have admited that out loud... especially since I recently bought FORTY of the things.... Stardust's flavor seems more 'muted'. Any comment on the difference between Stardust and Vivi Nova's flavor?

I don't see anything but clear & black plastic for the mini but I didn't see the mini at HC until last month. This thing is brand new. They'll probably expand the accessories in short order.

Never tried a Stardust. I'm comparing it to the Dual Carto tanks and to the basic Boge carto.

First of all, I have much better luck with the IC batteries (the blue ones) than the AW IMR. Less LO, and they last longer. The ones that come in the kit are the IC with the button top. I was not able to find those, but I did find some non-button tops and am using rare earth magnets on top as buttons and they work fine. I posted where I got them on this thread, forgot the vendor's name.

Also, I am not too keen on the Trustfire chargers. The cheapest of the good chargers is around $20. It has a car adapter, and charges the small up to the large batteries. You have to order an extra spacers for each 18350 battery you are charging. Discount Vapers has the chargers and the spacers. I found one on eBay a bit cheaper.

Sorry to hear that! Hope you get sorted out soon! I don't know anything about the batteries and chargers, as I am just using the ones from the kit, which work perfectly.
Can anyone else chime in?

More good battery news, kids!

1. I got some of the orange Ultrafires, the 1200mAh ones. They are marked XSL18350 on the batteries. This time from a reputable vendor. They work great in the Ovale!
2. The flat top blue 1200mAh IC batteries continue to work great with magnets.
