I'm 1 month in today and doing well, but I've been over sleeping and it's really messing up my life. Is this typical?

I'm also battling a different problem. I like the 18mg which is mostly what I've been using but I think it's getting me bit too wired at at night. I want to make the switch to 11 or 12mg but I'm not sure the best way to do it. When people switch, how much of the previous strength do they keep on hand? And is switching to 11mg going to give me any problems? I have some 11 on hand, but I have order coming in for 18mg juice, like and idiot I didn't buy 11mg.

I hear ya, i have been just sooo tired and drained for like the last 2 weeks and not sure why. I dont think you would have any problems going down at all from 18 to 11. I started on 18 and went to a 8 mg nic bottle and really didnt even notice all that much. I do vape 18 still sometimes during the day but in the evening I usually try to go down to 8 or 5 because if im vaping a lot in the evening, i dont wanna not be able to sleep. Good luck!

Some people just use lower nic in the evening.

I dropped my nicotine totally., several times. First I bought my favorite juices and some new ones I wanted to try in the new level. (you could also buy 0mg version of juices you already have and use that to cut down your old remaining juice). I also bought some Plano 3630 latching boxes (hold up to 10ml bottles)

On a Saturday morning, I boxed up the old level and set out the new level and just switched. I don't let myself vape constantly so it was easy to vape a bit extra to smooth over the transition. If you are using cartomizers, that auto-smooths out the transition. I just started topping them off with the lower level, so slowly the average level in the carto reduced to the new lower nic level.

You do lose throat hit each time you drop a nicotine level. I started on 16-18mg but 10-12mg was still a nice TH. The next drop to 6-8 is a bigger drop in TH. After that drop I bought a 3.7v big battery model (the Riva 510 kits Liberty-Flights.com has) and a 3.7v mod box just in case I needed to use LR attys/cartos to increase the hit. I didn't though. I got used to the lower bit of hit. I am now on 4mg.

The MAOI's in regular cigarettes masked the stimulating effects of nicotine. So it's not like your getting more nicotine and that's what causing you to no be able to sleep but your not getting the double whammy that cigarettes gave you.

Could be MAOI withdraws. But try lower nic at night and see if that helps.

I'm having so much trouble getting up in the morning. On Sat I slept until 12:30!!! I have been chaing vaping a lot, but even nights I get to sleep no trouble it takes a major push to wake me up. The chaing vaping is a topic for another discussion, but I see it as a problem I need to address as well. I'm still in the tweaking phase. Heck, I'm still on my first vendor for juices and my starter device. The main problem is I can't afford NOT to wake up, otherwise I starve.

I purchased a Rive 510 SE kit from them and it's in the mail. I also ordered Boge LR cartomizers. Will these not work with the device I ordered without a mod?

....the Boges will just fine with the Riva...the mod dormouse was talking about is a "box mod" a specific type of PV........

Maybe your sleeping better? I know when I was smoking it was rare that I didn't wake up in the middle of the night. And have a cigarette. Never do that anymore since I've been vaping.

It could be your body just going through major changes since you're stopped smoking. I slept a lot in the beginning. Even when I changed my diet I slept more. I don't think we realize the impact that major changes have on our body. Try lower nic at night.

As far as vaping too much, first make sure you're off the cigarettes completely before you even think about that. Some people that are telling you they're dropping down in nicotine have been vaping a year or two, not months. Other's drop down a vape a lot.

Me, I found if I dropped nicotine down I vaped more. Sorta pointless IMO. Whatever strength or however much your vaping, it's highly unlikely your getting as much nicotine as when you smoked.

Thanks. The problem is now I can vape indoors, so at times I'm chain vaping. Before I always went outside.

I think you are right about just a major adjustment. I've done very well not smoking, the e-cig is an amazing device in that regard. I really don't care about ever using a smoke again. But settling in with the e-cig has been a challenge.

Everyone worries about the same things when they start- I did.

Is this too good to be true?
Am I vaping to much?

No, it's not too good to be true. You probably are vaping more than you will be in a couple months. Everyone seems to vape more when they first start.

How much juice are you using a day? The average is around 3-5 ml per day although people vape more or less.

I really don't know. I just keep topping off my cartos from the bottle.
