Oxva Origin Mini 60W 2.200mah, it is a small Aio device, compact and designed to maximize the yield in flavor, however it can also be used with satisfaction in MTL thanks to the internal adjustable AFC system and the wide Unicoil platform which also includes an rba for DIY.

The cardboard box shows on the front side; The brand name (OXVA), a circular sticker with information on the color of the sample (Buddha) and the capacity of the pod (4ml). Also on the front, in the center there is the image of the device and the writing "Origin Mini".

On the back side of the package are shown; A brief introduction to the product, the packing list, warnings, useful OXVA addresses, a barcode, hologram, scratch & check, legal trademarks and logos and the wording "Sample".

These are the 4 main features indicated by the manufacturer for this new Mini version clearly based on the "Origin" project. Unlike the Origin X 60W and Origin Aio 40W which were both powered by an external 18650 battery the new Mini relies on a built-in 2,200mAh battery capable of pushing it up to 60W. Furthermore, to improve the feeling with the user, the convenient refill from the top has been introduced on the 4ml cartridge of Origin Mini.
The cartridge remains compatible with Oxva's excellent Unicoil platform. Origin Mini also maintains a certain similarity with previous models as regards the use of the materials used; such as zinc alloy and the neat and elegant IML decoration.
The Origin Mini form factor is still the slim and slender one I already knew, however the device seems to have gained ergonomics with even more compact dimensions.

On the front side of Origin Mini we find the classic arrangement of the control panel with the 0.69 "OLED display in the center which shows all the useful information for the vape, the fonts are quite bright and well readable. On this side there are also the Fire button and the selection button, both circular in shape and with a fine metal texture. At the top there are two air intakes that direct the flow towards the coil in the lower part of the cartridge.

► Oxva Origin Mini; Operation Guide:
• Power On / Off: Press the Fire button 5 times.
• Puff Clear: Press the Fire button and the Adjust button together
• Power adjustment: With the Mod unlocked, press the adjustment button from 5 to 60W with an increase of 1W at a time.
• Lock System: Press the Fire button 3 times to lock / unlock the power adjustment button.

The metal shell extends almost all over the body, the only exception is the back of the mod which seems to be coated with plastic material with IML decoration technique (very beautiful and colorful). Even the metal parts have eye-catching color combinations, my sample (Buddha) at the top is "bronze" and then fades to black at the bottom.
The painting of the frame and the IML insert appear to be protected by a transparent layer. Origin Mini is extremely smooth and velvety to the touch, I am ready to bet on the good quality of the paint that looks quite resistant.

► Oxva Origin Mini; View Below and Above:
Origin Mini has three fake oval-shaped vent holes, the vent for the battery is discharged from the USB Type-C socket. On this surface they are present; battery capacity indication (2,200mAh), disposal logo and C mark E.

The Compartment/Pod is secured to the frame by two torx screws and has two gold / plated contact pins in the center, in an off-center and raised position you can see the large black magnet with a rectangular shape, the magnet effectively holds the Pod when inserted.

► Oxva Origin Mini; Cartridge:
The cartridge is also equipped with a magnet on the bottom which mirrors the one present in the compartment / pod of the Mod. The cartridge has a capacity of 4ml and allows optimal visibility of the internal liquid level. The Drip is a replaceable 510 type and has two sealing o-rings. The filling, as I said, is carried out comfortably from above using the classic liftable silicone rubber.

► Oxva Origin Mini; Unicoil Platform:
The Unicoils are first screwed to the metal AFC base, then they are inserted from the bottom into the cartridge. The Unicoils are equipped with an air adjustment ring, except for the 0.2Ω one which does not have it since it is dedicated to maximum Flavor, therefore to maximum air passage.
* This cartridge can accommodate all Unicoils, including the RBA (available separately).

• Unicoil 0.2Ω range 55-60W this Mesh-Coil is the only one that cannot accommodate the air regulation ring, but there is no need for it, because this is how a coil with an open Puff must be and this is truly an uncompromising Puff DL coil. At 50W it has lightning-fast delivery and pushes really hard, the vapor comes out in wastes and the taste of my liquid is exceptional, one of the best DL coils for Pods!
Of course, with this Coil, the autonomy of the Origin Mini's 2,200mAh battery becomes rather limited

• Unicoil 0.3Ω range 35-40W this Coil surprises me because already at 30W (5W below the minimum range) it is already very aggressive, responds quickly to the Fire and works very well. Of course, by moving the power to 35W, the delivery is even more full-bodied, the amount of vapor is satisfactory and the aroma of my favorite liquid is expressed at high levels, I really like it with the air-flow open at maximum or slightly closed.

• Unicoil 0.5Ω (sold separately) range 20-25W, it can be suitable for those who prefer an open Puff Mtl, at 20W closing the air becomes interesting in this sense.

• Unicoil 1.0Ω (sold separately) range 10-15W this coil is specific for MTL, at 15W and with the open air-flow it is impressive !!! It almost looks like a cloud, closing the buttonhole and aspiring to 10W the shot narrows a lot, but what I especially liked is its response speed, without any delay at the Fire button. The delivery characteristics are also common with the other Uni-coils of OXVA, smooth as butter and rich in aroma.
I did not expect all this from an MTL coil, I think it is thanks to the Photon-Chip because even at 10W the Puff remains immediate, clean, smooth, aromatic and without gurgling, no objection, even so it works well.

• RBA Unicoil (sold separately) the kit uses a screwdriver, spare screws, cotton, air adjustment ring nut, pre-assembled coil and threaded bell.
The deck has two sealing o'ring and a 2mm diameter under-coil hole, the cross screws although small are not a problem, the coil legs are effectively stopped by the two lateral feet.
The threaded bell has a 9x8mm truncated cone internal profile, the chimney is incorporated in the bell and has an internal hole of 4mm and is equipped with an o'ring.
The air regulation ring nut is screwed directly to the RBA module and to the interchangeable coils (it is the same as the Unicoil), for a correct liquid supply, the slots containing the cotton are left free in the joining space between the deck and chimney.
The 510 adapter to be screwed to the RBA is very useful for measuring the resistance obtained during regeneration, to do this we can use a mod with 510 thread.

The resistive value obtained with the Ni80 coil included in the kit was 0.6Ω and just as stated in the specifications by OXVA.
The yield at 15W with the ring completely open is comparable to that obtainable with a nautilus with 0.7Ω BVC coil, therefore a very good yield.
By closing the air regulation ring you can drop a few watts maximizing the vape in MTL, without losing too much aroma.
To further improve the MTL performance I believe that a 28AWG regeneration in KA1 could be optimal.

► Oxva Origin Mini; Final conclusions:
In my opinion, in the Origin Pod Mod family by Oxva, the new OXVA Mini is the ideal link with the previous devices; the super-equipped origin X 60W and the progenitor Origin 40W.

The Photon 60W chip is driven only by two buttons that perform all the operations necessary for the simplified use of the Mod. Some functions that can be renounced are missing and they are the automatic Puff and the automatic power setting, however there are no dangers to burn the resistance because by inserting a new coil the chipset reminds us to confirm the wattage and to press the adjustment button to cancel the message.

The screen is small, however it clearly shows the data with rather bright and clearly visible fonts. I would also like to underline the excellent performance of the 2,200mAh internal battery with which I managed to reach the threshold of 300 Puff at a constant 35W!

I did not encounter any problems during the Origin-Mini test, only some sporadic and small condensation inside the compartment / pod. So for its characteristics Origin Mini I would recommend it to beginners and also to veterans because I believe that it can carve out its own space for success, thanks to its many advantages;
