It seems my wife really has to press hard on the button to get it to fire......Does that mean it's time for noalox? The P-10 don't have an adjustable throw, does it? Is the stainless button better. I have all stainless with a brass button.
I had this problem with one of my P18s, it actually would lock-up on me, barely budge. In the end the culprit was the sprint not sitting right on the lip edge of the button. That spring always sat a little loose and didn't "grab" the lip. So when I was screwing in the button assembly I believe it was slip off and kinda wedge its way at an angle. Causing the button press to click oddly and jam. When I replaced the spring, the problem was solved permanently. -Magnus

Adjustable throw is only available on the P16 and P18. The brass button is the only way the P10 comes now, whether you have all brass model or the stainless model. If you are having to press hard, the likely culprit is it's time for a clean. Pull the button and clean the entire button with mothers aluminum polish, i find it works the best for getting tarnish off brass. You can also clean the inside the bottom cap that the button passes through with a qtip and mothers polish if you'd like. I also have this video on cleaning:
Ok, I just cleaned it and following the directions on your video I lightly pulled it across the sandpaper....Maybe I did it too much. Are there any new brass buttons for sale on the site? I'll just order a new one.

You won't take enough off the button to ruin it if you just ran it across sand paper like in the video. You could do that dozens of times and only take a few thousandth's off. Eventually it would wear down, but not having just done it your first time. I can definitely sell you a new button if you'd like one. I'm out at the moment, but more are being made as we speak.

Try Nevr-Dul. Works great on my brass paintball barrels, as well as my P16. Much better than Mother's in my experience. Comes in a tin filled with cotton batting soaked in polish. Just tear off a piece, and polish away. Easy, and no mess.
I have neverdull. I use it when I polish the aluminum on my bikes. I will definitely use that one the brass but not on the stainless....I like the satin look the 400 grit gives it, the neverdull might polish it too much for me.
