Well, after a couple of weeks of holding off, i finally ordered my super t p10. i tried a friend's and fell in love (also tried the p18...totally badass). i was going back in forth in my mind (and my cart) between p10 and the p16. i know its silly, but i was partially swayed by the 3-4 week wait for the p16, versus the p10s that are in stock. that being said, if thanksgiving eve is as bangin at bar this year as it always it, then i'm gonna try to order a p16 too before the christmas deadline.

i know the battery life is less than stellar, but i've been carrying around multiple 808 batts, a pcc, and cartos, all while doing the charging dance (pcc's are really only useful when you remember to charge them), so i think i'll do just fine carrying a few extra 10440s around. The size, weight, and feel of the P10 was just too perfect for me to resist.

now for some serious mailman stalking. my buddy had his in hand 3 days after ordering...so now i'm full of all sorts of unreasonable expectations.

Cool, I ordered the p18 last week. Hope it doesn't take too long. I don't understand the two week to assemble bit ??

If David is waiting on parts I can see that, but if its just assembly time send it to me in parts and I will put it together :)

Not that I'm complaining .... I know it will be worth the wait. And I am sure its nicer than mods I waited a lot longer for.

I'm pretty sure that he makes sure each end cap is fit to the tube perfectly and polishes the whole thing after fitting. You will notice when you get it that the end caps fit to almost an invisible line. Hence the name he gave it "Precise." Other mods just don't compare in the fit and finish department. It's WELL worth the wait. I have owned just about every other mod on the market and was very impressed with the Precise.

It's not just assembly, it's also fitting and finishing. Each part is re-chucked on the lathe and end caps and bodies are often faced true to insure gap free fitting. The entire unit is then chucked and spun to have the end caps matched with the body to eliminate any ridges between the caps and the body. Buttons are polished, threads chased on the top caps, center posts pressed in and post height set. Final polishing of the unit is then done and it is then dis-assembled, thoroughly washed, reassembled and then test fired. The wait has to do with i can only prep a few units a day, so when orders come in, they are filled in the order they came in.

Anyone that buys a Precise will know that if you have never really seen one, it was worth the wait. Hope you didn't make the mistake of not ordering a contoured SS drip tip. They are worth the money also. If you didn't, then order one right away, and no they do not get hot. They just finish off the looks of the mod and are perfectly machined also.

anyone order a p10 while they were in stock at the time? how long did yours take to come? thanks!

I would also strongly recommend you include the IMR 10440 batteries, David sells. The perfomance is significantly better than the standard 10440s.

+1 on that.

Funny thing I found, since you mentioned it. I have three different types of 10440's. I have the IMR high drains 350mah(some from David, some from COV), some generic chinese ones that came with my Ruyan e-cigars at 360mah, and some Joye made 10440's showing 320mah (came with the Janty Sticks I have). All three are the blue polymer coated/wrapped style and aside from the markings, all appear identical.

With the LR attys, the 320mah and 350mah batteries work about the same overall. The 320's die quicker but provide a slightly stronger hit than the 350s for about 45 mins to an hour. Then they taper off rather quickly. The 350s are definitely more consistent and tend to last longer (about 2.5-3 hours for me).

When using regular attys, the 320mah batts work twice as well as the 350s. They stay strong for around 1-1.5 hours and run steady-ish for about another 2 hours.

With either LR or regular attys, the 360mah are mediocre performers. They last the longest (about 4+ hours). They work more or less, but I find that I have to engage the button for much longer draws to get the same performance with a short draw on either of the other batts.

Charge times are roughly the same for all three. I use the 320's when I'm home with a charger or using regular attys. The 350s are what I take out for the day, or when I'm using the LR attys. The 360s are backups.

Just figured I'd mention it.
