Hi all, I am hoping for a little advice.

I was just using my Kabuki P3 and just changed over to my authentic Squape Rs on my P3 with the 510 adapter and ring that came with the P3.

Strangely the OP came up, so I took it off and the rings and then put the rings on again to make sure they were on tight enough. Tried again and still OP. I then tried opening up the pin on the 510 connector on bottom on the atty 1/4 turn counter clockwise.

I then screwed the atty back on and I am no longer getting the OP, I am seeing the ohm of 1.7 which is correct.

I was working but I noticed the crackling seemed a little louder and the Burst icon is flashing intermittently with a "!" - I was using in a saved setting with Burst 2 at 13 watts.

Anyway, I just stopped until I find out what is going on. I did out of interest turn the 510 pin back the 1/4 turn (clockwise) to see if I would get the OP reading again, and I did.

It is a new atty and I am a noob LOL. I used the SQuape earlier on in the day, and didn't have any issues, but I guess I could have missed the flashing "!"

So anyway it is all working sweet with my kayfun V4 (P3 base) on a saved setting with burst.

Any ideas to help me trouble shoot this would be greatly appreciated.

It'll be something to do with 510 pin on the Squape, it's notoriously fickle and in my opinion the achilles heel on an otherwise great atomiser. When I get problems like this I take the 510 pin out and give it a good clean, then check my resistance on an ohm meter to make sure its reading as I expect. Make sure its giving you a stable reading, if something's off it fluctuates.

Thanks for that :) hmmm it is almost brand new that I wouldn't have thought it would need to clean the pin, but what you say makes sense. I don't have a separate ohm reader at this is my first 510 threaded atty, and I hoped the P3 reader would suffice??

Oh why oh why won't they make a P3 connector, like is so simple with that system :(

You should be okay without an ohm reader, just make sure the reading is more or less where you expect it to be for your build. I find that with the Squape I can build a 1.5 ohm coil but by adjusting the 510 it can read anything up to 2.4 ohms.

Have to agree with you, a P3 connector would be ideal. I wish more manufacturers would take a cue from Provape and make an attempt to ditch the 510 connection, its such dated design and is holding back atomiser design and causing no end of trouble for temperature control devices.

Thanks for that. I did email Stattqualm to ask if they had any plans to make a P3 connector and the answer was 'no current plans', we need more people to keep requesting it and they might get it done ?? I am sure there are enough Provari enthusiasts here to make it happen, the vapes I had on it earlier were simply superb, and it was just so easy to build on that I was blown away.
