At least I think that is the cause. I use my left hand, and it's the left shoulder that's painful. The pain shoots down into my arm and up my neck. Got it after I began vaping on a mechanical mod with a 18650. It's not as heavy as my Ismoke VTR, but I didn't have any pain when using that one. I don't chain vape, but I vape very much.

I hold the mod with my finger tips. Can that be the cause?

If the vtr didn't hurt your shoulder, I would think that it is another issue all together. So sorry you are having a problem. First off I would suggest anti-inflammatory and see if that helps. Heat and ice back and forth may also help. Of course the obvious would be to use the other hand to vape. I sure hope the problem will just go away. Let us know how you are doing. That vtr is a heavy thing. heehee

I had a similar problem some years ago, and my doctor diagnosed it as carpal tunnel problem. I thought he was way off, as the pain and weakness were focused in my shoulder, but he ended up right. He suggested I get a particular therapeutic glove for sleeping at night to immobilize my wrist, then smiled and told me that it was basically the same as a bowling glove, which was about 90% cheaper. I bought the glove, and it solved it in a couple days. I still use it from time to time.

If this continues, I hope your doctor can help you find out the specific problem, but switching hands for vaping is a good first step for now!

It's also possible (though improbable) that it has to do with lactic acid accumulation cased by vaping. I started using V2 cigs and their juice and that left me with a slight thight feeling on my left shoulder. I stopped vaping for a week and it went away. Came back once I started again. My solution? Switch to better quality juice. Only switching my juice completely removed the tight feeling.

The lactic acid is caused by the pg. i believe thats what it metabolizes into. if that is the case a high or 100% vg juice would help

That is correct sir. That being said, I think the quality of the PG also makes a difference. 80/20 V2 juice gave me lactic acid buildup. 80/20 premium juice didnt. These days I do 50/50 without any issues.

I'm glad it's gone. Sounds like you have no problem with physical activity so that would point away from heart problems, but the pain you were describing sounds like angina to me. I would see a doctor if it returns just to be safe, especially if you feel clammy or short of breath or have any risk factors for heart disease. Women often present to the hospital with MI symptoms just like that (ie, no chest pain). Mech mod --> more nicotine --> possible cardiac stress. Just playing it safe. I wouldn't worry unless it keeps bothering you.
