David, have you heard anything about these Efest batts? (review here on flashlight site) AW IMR 2000mAh v Efest IMR 2000mAh v Panasonic CGR18650CH | BudgetLightForum.com

Looks like some pretty good results, compared to the AW & Panasonics?

These Efests look promising, at least in VV/VW devices, but looking at their graph, the AW 18650 1600mAh would be better in non VV/VW devices.

I have seen those graphs and will be getting in some to test (and sell if they test out good) One thing i see right away is they tested against the AW 2000mah, which quite frankly, isn't a great battery, the AW 18650 1600mAh is a better battery then the 2000mAh AW. It's can be easy to be taken in by total mAh.

The AW 1600mAh also outperforms the 2250 mAh Panasonic in certain areas and the Panasonic outperforms the AW in others (see post below). These (the efest) may indeed have a place and i'll post up what my results are when i get them done.

Panasonic IMR 18650 2250mAh batteries are in stock!

Refresh the page if they don't show in stock: Super T Manufacturing, Innovative manufacturer of electronic cigarette products.

I load tested the Panasonic IMR 18650 2250mAh against the AW IMR 18650 1600mAh and the winner is? It's a toss up.

At first glance, you may be impressed by the much larger mAh of the Panasonic, but keep in mind, all that extra mAh comes after the battery is discharged below 3.5 Volts, up until that point, the AW IMR holds a higher voltage under load and achieves more mAh.

My recommendations:

-If you run Non variable voltage mods such as the SB, GG, Super T etc, the AW IMR 18650 is probably the better choice. Assuming you change your batteries out at 3.5 volts by which time your vapor is getting weak, the AW IMR 18650 1600mAh holds higher voltage under load up until that point and achieves 1125 mAh at 3.5V whereas the Panasonic achieves 1011mAh @ 3.5V.

-If you run Variable Voltage/Wattage mods, the Panasonic then becomes the better choice as VV mods will continue to boost down to 3.0-3.3 Volts, where the extra mAh of the Panasonic can come into play.

Thanks for this thread, because I will be getting a Precise + 18650 to use in conjunction with a DID RBA and I have (unfortunately) NO CLUE about batteries and such. This thread at least tells me which is best to use in different circumstances whether or not I totally understand the provided reasons.

@forcedfuel50,

I am trying to order but I see the Pila Charger is not available. Is there an eta on this? What would be the next best charger for the AW 1600 mAh? All I have now is a Trustfire Multi-Functional Charger (the standard two battery one). I imagine that is not best for the AW 1600 mAh. I hope you see this message. Maybe I will pm you.

Is a new contest starting for August on all battery and charger orders from the date the last contest ended?

I don't have a date yet for a new contest but when it does begin, yes entries will be accepted from the date the last contest ended, so save your numbers:)

@Forcedfuel50, have you done any testing on MNKE 1500mah 18650s? I have been advised to get these for my 18650 because of the high amperage. What can you tell me about these batteries?

I have not tested them, but i'd bet the AW 1600mAh is equal to or better. I have tested the AW 1600mAh against several and it always comes out ahead. If you get one, i can test it against an AW.
