Panzer Blackhawk clone or Black Copper Stingray clone

Alright guys I'm looking at my first mech and I've narrowed it down to two, the Panzer or the Stingray. I've searched the forum high and low for all the info I could on both of them and would just like to see if I missed anything. All opinions and info are helpful.

Current set up:
Zmax v5
kayfun 3.1 clone

Nothing wrong with either , but there are some iffy panzers out there

I would suggest visiting a Local shop so you can feel them both as the Panzer is quite large and heavy in comparison with the SR
Sting Ray is amongst many a favorite , especially for first time mech
Floating 510, comes with magnets, easy to maintain

I just picked up a Panzer clone yesterday, and I gotta say, it's top notch! It's my first mech mod and I don't know much about them yet, but this one came highly recommended by the shop staff and a couple guys that were there hanging out. At $50, it was worth a shot. I like it so far.

Thanks for all the input guys. After a lot of thought and research I ended up going another route. I don't think I'm going to be disappointed tho, ordered a copper Cartel clone by Infinite yesterday. Should be here wed or sooner, so I'll keep you posted.

Chip, I predict you will still get the Panzer and the Stingray!!! Probably have a couple box mods in your future, too!

It is called shinyitis by some, I see it as a slippery slope with no bottom in sight.

I'm afraid to say you're most likely right Bruce. Just hope the lady hits this slippery slope soon so she doesn't kill me haha.

Make sure you know the quirks about the panzer you purchase read reviews. there are some pretty crappy black hawk clones out there. I have one from shenzen with the rip trippers sikastits serial on the button and i have to say this thing is quality. top notch.had the chance to use a copper/ss stingray x. and it performs very well. if it was my first mech and i had to choose now that i have 1 and have used the other, I would get the stingray

Hahahaha Lareclover isn't that the truth. Although as of right now I think I'm still on the positive side of spending...for now lol

Wraith, the sikastits version from shenzen would/will be the only version I get of the panzer. Have you seen the blackhawk that's full copper inside??

I received my copper Cartel yesterday and I'm very happy with it. All the threading is buttery, no raised spots on my pins. Just waiting on plume veil 1.5 clone( fingers crossed for good quality there) to try some dripping out. Been building 1.6 ohm coils in my kayfun, I plan on staying safe and working my way down slowly in ohms.

Like I said in another post, the Panzer clone I handled in a head shop had painted threads. Kinda hard to sub-ohm when your mod is like... 50 kilohm. If you're ordering it online, save your packaging. Or you could get a battery terminal cleaner from Pep Boys and go to work on those threads.
