A word about Parkes Gooey Goodness Cake...it was love at first vape. Had never even heard of gooey butter cake before but just the sound of a buttery vape sounded yummy....and is it ever! So much so that I had to taste the real thin, so I found a recipe and baked me a gooey butter cake.
Long story short...I'm sticking with Parkes.

Sorry haven't been around. One of Mary's friends lost a brother to a brain aneurysm and she is taking it pretty hard because not only is it someone pretty close it is something that she went through just last year and she is in shock so to speak.
Oh and we got this in new snow last night on top of the many inches we already had.

I have had plenty of people die around me, and the shock, and for me, anger seem to linger...
Mary said that hers is more guilt than anything. She keeps saying "I got her hopes up that he would be okay and now he is gone". She talked to the woman about her brother and gave her hope because he was responding to them when he talked just a week ago. It is hard for her but with the help of everyone she is starting to understand what she did was a good thing not a bad one.

I am sorry to hear about the loss of Mary's dear friend's brother. I will pray for their comfort.
