No, she didn't have me do any of them or go over them for me to do later, she just had me use the walker and had me maneuver over an obstacle then said I was good to go home.
Them exercises are for recovery B4 I get out of bed and start using a walker, guess she thought I was beyond them.

These examples are almost completely different subjects... My Mother's knee and shoulder and what she was told to do... She was told to exercise them AFTER they were out of their restraints ( they weren't casts )... The exercises were important to maintain as much range of motion as possible and if they weren't performed... the areas would stiffen up making it almost impossible to move them correctly.

The back is different in that it's not the same type of joints and doesn't move with as much range. That doesn't mean there is or isn't a set of recommended exercises... if there are some, they would be of a different type but if they are needed, they would be important so you have the best results you can get.

So I'd also say it's important to check with your doctor to see if there was something needed to be done or not. It's a simple call to make and it's important that you know one way or the other.

I did talk with my surgeon B4 I was released and he only said that about once an hour that I'm up ( not sleeping ) to get up and move/walk a bit. I'm guessing I'll get the physical therapy exercise stuff when I see him on Friday.
Using the cane today I was able to move around more and was thinking on getting one with a seat so maybe I could go out for short shopping trips.
