Thanks for the "screw that" two cents thought but did you miss that I can not afford to refinance and appraise the house? What is your advise then please??

Have you talked to the bank and explained your problem yet ? if not try to talk to a male loan officer.

My friends son who just got divorced had to give their house to the ex wife. The place was appraised at 129,000. They held a mortgage of only 40,000 left on it. The divorce became final and she stopped paying the payments on it. The bank is now foreclosing. He can not go in there and save the home for himself because of how the divorce was drawn up and dealt with. But his credit as far as that foreclosure is concerned is now screwed because of her loosing the place because his name was involved with it and he had no recourse to legally pay the tab. The home was awarded to her

They might redo the loan and roll that stuff into it,you might also remind the wife with her name on it if you go down so does she.

Nope, by the order of court in the type I am in, I can no do anything to her that will hurt her credit or any other way. She is protected from that, so if I go down she can not go down with me. But I will call the bank anyway, what could it hurt?

That is almost exactly my problem, but in reverse. I can not make her credit bad in anyway. That is one of the things that has been so hard during this time is keeping up with the bills with her name, and making sure I did not "hurt" her though she took me........... You are right it will be good to be done with this and moving on......
