It was thanks to jmur mentioning he found the clone ones on eBay... I probably wouldn't have looked there if it hadn't been for him.

The one's I got... and I think that jmur got... aren't exact clones and I think the main change is even an improvement. The original only has one rod per coiler... these others have two, one on each side which doubles the size of rods for each.

Mine have the previously mentioned difference in the rod that spins being longer which I'm not sure is good or bad... but they also didn't mark the sizes on mine which certainly isn't a plus... On the plus side though, mine are knurled and not smooth.

Awesome! Looks like a center punch or a nail-set! I've thought about making my own but if they're cheap enough on eBay.....
