Anyone here have the subtanks? I bought the Mini and the Nano. The coil that came with the Nano has a red gasket on the coil and it tastes great. The mini came with a coil that has a white gasket like all the stock coils I have and I have to turn the watts way down on it because it tastes burnt. What's up with that?

The one with white gasket might not be sub ohm,how many ohms does it read ?

Wow... I didn't notice that the 1.2Ω came with a red gasket on it in my Nano...

On the 0.5Ω and 1.2Ω coils... you have to saturate the wicks completely before you use them or you risk burning the cotton wick... once burnt it'll always taste bad. These coils can be easily rewicked and rebuilt... so if you do burn one, don't toss it, just rewick it later using some japanese cotton or similar.

The instructions say to put 2-3 drops into the coil head, fill and wait at least 30 seconds before using. I saturate the wick inside until I see the wick showing through the holes appears wet, then I place a drop onto the wick into each hole... fill and vape.

I vape mine at about 23-25w on my DNA ( and CDNA ) mods... If using an iStick, start out much lower than that and work up since they show their output much lower than it really is.

I've got the Subtank, Mini and Nano... like all other bottom coils, I've noticed the smaller capacity ones don't "leak" as quickly when your juice level gets low... because of that, the Nano is becoming my favorite to vape with.

I double checked that first, they are the .5 coils.:)

About the only thing I can think of is it's not wet enough try hitting it without power 8 or 10 times then let it soak, also make sure the air flow is wide open and your finger isn't over it when you hit it.If that doesn't fix it I would try another coil :)
