Another cool weather phenomena

This is a shot of a gigantic jet which is sort of like a sprite that we've know about since around 1989 which have been photographed by the thousands... Gigantic jets were discovered later in around 2001-2002 and are much rarer.

This shot ( of which I cropped and only have a portion of the whole shot since I didn't want the camping scene in front of it also ) was taken by Phebe Pan in China. Phebe was there to try and capture some of the recent meteor showers and got this shot as well.

To see more of the story and the complete pic if interested... go to today's spaceweather.com page

    Making a Baby....

The Smiths were unable to conceive children and decided to use a surrogate father to start their family.

On the day the proxy father was to arrive, Mr. Smith kissed his wife goodbye and said, 'Well, I'm off now. The man should be here soon.'

Half an hour later, just by chance, a door-to-door baby photographer happened to ring the doorbell, hoping to make a sale. 'Good morning, Ma'am', he said, 'I've come to...'

'Oh, no need to explain,' Mrs. Smith cut in, embarrassed, 'I've been expecting you.'

'Have you really?' said the photographer. 'Well, that's good. Did you know babies are my specialty?'

'Well that's what my husband and I had hoped. Please come in and have a seat !'

After a moment she asked, blushing, 'Well, where do we start?'

'Leave everything to me. I usually try two in the bathtub, one on the couch, and perhaps a couple on the bed. And sometimes the living room floor is fun. You can really spread out there.'

'Bathtub, living room floor? No wonder it didn't work out for Harry and me!'

'Well, Ma'am, none of us can guarantee a good one every time. But if we try several different positions and I shoot from six or seven angles, I'm sure you'll be pleased with the results.'

'My, that's a lot!', gasped Mrs. Smith.

'Ma'am, in my line of work a man has to take his time. I'd love to be in and out in five minutes, but I'm sure you'd be disappointed with that.'

'Don't I know it,' said Mrs. Smith quietly.

The photographer opened his briefcase and pulled out a portfolio of his baby pictures. 'This was done on the top of a bus,' he said.

'Oh, my God!' Mrs. Smith exclaimed, grasping at her throat.

'And these twins turned out exceptionally well - when you consider their mother was so difficult to work with.'

'She was difficult?' asked Mrs. Smith.

'Yes, I'm afraid so. I finally had to take her to the park to get the job done right. People were crowding around four and five deep to get a good look.'

'Four and five deep?' said Mrs. Smith, her eyes wide with amazement.

'Yes', the photographer replied. 'And for more than three hours, too. The mother was constantly squealing and yelling - I could hardly concentrate, and when darkness approached I had to rush my shots. Finally, when the squirrels began nibbling on my equipment, I just had to pack it all in.'

Mrs. Smith leaned forward. 'Do you mean they actually chewed on your, uh...equipment?'

'It's true, Ma'am, yes. Well, if you're ready, I'll set-up my tripod and we can get to work right away.'

    'Tripod?'

'Oh yes, Ma'am. I need to use
a tripod to rest my Canon on. It's much too big to be held in the hand very long.'

    Mrs. Smith fainted!

I haven't got one... so taking that into account.

The reviews I've seen all seem to recommend using short wicks that just extend through the holes ( as I understood them at least ). This required that they tilt them to keep the wicks wet reminding me of the Stardust eGo clearo's

Yup, did all the obvious. I'm thinking it's that my wicks are thicker than they should be. And that's what's driving me crazy! I had this thing sussed for the last two weeks...

That could do it also... too thick of a wick could lead to several choke points that could starve the coil of juice. Of course too thin would also be a problem... so look for a Goldilocks zone

    Good Morning Everyone... :)

This morning's radar starts like this...

    CONUS.MosaicBREF.jpg

I guess the system that led to the flooding in the south central region is now contributing to what we are going to see in the north eastern areas... here is where the t-storm outlook starts at today...

    day1otlk.gif

... and the increased threats brings an increase chance of tornadoes in some areas...

I use a strippa cotton 2¼ " long. After pullin it thru da coil and down da holes it hangs just about ½ way down in the tank. I'm not usin cotton bacon cuz I gots none ub dats, I'm still usin up da cotton pads I got long ago. Iffin you cotton is too thick or tight the flavor gets muted easily in dis. Wicking all da way to the bottom of the tank 'kinda not really works' but it mutes the flavor and doesn't wick up as well. For " me " I found that ½ into the tank works best, ¼ of da way into da tank also works. I been usin .5 ohm , 1.0 ohm , and 1.2 ohm single coils with da ceramic block installed in mine. I not a big cloud chaser so I just make it to give me a good flavorfuls vape. I've never had a dry hit or burnt taste of any kind so far with dis tank. Check to see iffin your air control is not open nuff too. My mixes of da juice is mostlys 60pg/40vg and 70pg/30vg.

I dunno iffin dat helps you or not butts dats what I do. Afta alls, rememba you is askin a monkey
    smilie_girl_286_zpsaohcgulx.gif

I also have used these when I in a hurry & dey easy to carry in you pocket or bag when travelin. Cut perfect and slide right inta da coil, hang abouts ½ way down the tank.
