If you use something sharp to make sure your coil is not touching the side of the barrel you will OK, I do it all the time I use a heavy sewing needle to,push my coil into shape and move it off the sides, works fine. Incidentally I use the smooth end of a drill bit the alive of my wick, anneal ( heat ) the Knathal and roll your coil first. Carefully slip the coil off then slip your wick thru. A little patience and you'll get a nice uniform coil, just make sure your coil is snug not tight. One of the tricks I use is to notch the silicone coil cover so more juice can enter the coil, now be carefully not to big and keep in mind that the tank will need to stay almost straight at all times or it will leak don't let it run into your battery. Good Luck.
