Smokie: it might be helpful to list what kind of PT/atomizer (901/801 and where you purchased the atty from/what brand) you're using) on what type of port (i.e. computer (older/newer/USB1.0/1.1/2.0, AC/Wall outlet). Any specific details that will help Steve and other forum users troubleshoot your problem. Do you have a multimeter? If so test the PT to ensure current is flowing through the unit.

I used 3 different 801 atomizers, Janty, Best E-Cig,and other.
Plus tried it on my PC USB and, hub, also the wall outlet USB. All my other stuff works on these sources. If was meant for any other type of current then it should have been listed on the sellers site.

Hey Smokie ...

A couple things.

1) Make sure the adapter is firmly snugg on the tube.
2) Press the button FIRMLY all the way down <-- This has happened a few times. Like the Prodigy, the PT has to be pressed COMPLETELY down, not just halfway ...

Each and every Prodigy and PT is tested twice ... Once for voltage at the factory, and fully tested by ME PERSONALLY on my home PC before Casey packs them away and ships them. All product is tested on true DSE or JOYE products. I do have an order in for BE atomizers, so once I get a few of those, I can test products on those as well.

Well I do not know what to tell you, I did what you said, and still not working. Now the packaging that it came in, had no protective wrap ?, other than that, I used 3 new different types of 801 atomizers, including a Janty. So in the mean time what is your resolution. I destroyed 1 new atomizer trying to pull the connector up some, thought there maybe it had no contact. You can PM me or e-mail me back please. ( and did you test a Janty atomizer ?)

have you tried taking it apart and checking all electrical connections
usb solder connections
switch joints
connector joints

did you try the volt ohm meter to see if the switch/power was functional
NO Sir, Absolutely not, this is New, not used, received today, and should work without all that. If the instructions had all that in them, never would of bought this item. But it looks nice, heavy thick wire, should I just keep it even if it is broken, and frame it. lol lol

Hey Smokie ... If we need to get you a replacement or if you want to return it for a full refund, not a problem.

Besides Drum, you are the 2nd with an issue ... Out of the 160-170 sent so far ... not bad ...

Apologize about it being DOA ... Again, I do test every single thing before it leaves here, but, ya never know ....

Assuming you emailed Casey (info@puresmoker.com) or a ticket, she'll take care of you hopefully over the weekend -- she works all the time -- or Monday.

I am certain that my problem with my passthrough is the fact that the center post is recessed slightly. It should stick out a bit, but it does not. I am not able to make it stick out through pounding on it. I tried the staple trick and it doesn't work. I have included some photos below. I have a point and shoot camera and I am not able to zoom very well, but I think it is in focus enough to get the point across. Believe it or not the whole process of posting and taking these pictures has taken me about 45 minutes.

hey drum ...

thanks for the pics! I don't believe its the center post at all ... It looks like the delrin (the black stuff) has been squished tooo far out ... Normally the delrin sits 10-20 thousandths under flush! I now think I know of the issue :)

Shoot Casey an email ... We can get that adapter switched out with another one (will double check this one to make sure the delrin is recessed)

I will contact Casey. I still think this passthrough is going to be amazing. I am one of the unlucky ones at this time. The bottom line is that not every PT can be perfect. If you buy 1,000 Toyota Camery's at least one is not going to make it to 200,000 miles. If you buy 1,000 Dodge Neons maybe one would make it to 200,000 miles. What really matters is which one can make it the vast majority of the time. I think time will tell that this passthrough will be the standard in quality and reliability. That is why I purchased it in the first place. I just got a lemon, it happens.

Thanks, mine looks the same as Drum of NY's pictures, the delrin is higher than the two contact points.
And I did e-mail Casey with a request for return, on Friday, the day I received it, waiting.
