I am thinking about ordering one after Christmas when I have some money hopefully, however every one of them I see is USB only, and I'm not too sure I want to run it through my computer considering I have like 5 USB devices always running. Is there a way to use these through a power outlet? Could I plug it into the USB port on my Fast charger, or would I need a standard charger?

FYI, I am talking about 510 gear here.

Any usb port that is dc 1000mah should work also. I bought a dual usb port wall charger from Best Buy and it works great. Look at Walmart online they have them also.
AB- some of my ac chargers won't run the eGo passthroughs. I have a 500mah that does and a 1000mah that doesn't --both are AC. That's why I am saying DC since those have been consistent for me.

Vapor4Life has the Vapor King Car adapter that can be used to charge a battery (along with the USB charger) or will power the Passthrough. It is rated at 5V and 2000mA. It's $9.95 and this one works ... I have others that don't work with a passthrough.

I have that one too, TT. The quickest one I found tho is at walmart. In the lighting section near the surge protectors, they have a 3-3 prong charger with 2 usb ports for around 10 bucks.. I have several and they all power my eGo passthroughs plus charge my 900 and 1300 batteries.

ps. Just tested my KR808 passthrough and it does not work with that battery. But it works on 510's.
The usb charger I got from Best Buy does power the KR808

The one I was referencing is for the vehicle ... I've had some that will charge a battery but wouldn't run the pass through in the vehicle. This one does both. I have one in my truck and one in my wife's car. Both work fine.

Oh, and any computer shop will have the USB Hubs also.

The 500mA output is too small, although plenty to rapidly charge the battery (in a couple of hours). Recommended is something rated around 2A (2000mA) output, to run a normal passthrough.

(Normal meaning something where the voltage on the connector measures 4.5+ volts. There are some "passthroughs" called sit-and-go, where there is actually a battery built in; in that case you are actually vaping off of the battery, and the measured connector output is only going to be 3-and-change volts. If the PT does nothing when it's disconnected from USB power you have a normal passthrough.)

Wow! I almost forgot this exists at ECF. I can't say I pleased I feel seeing soo many posters offering help, suggestions, and places to buy.

I remember the good ole days way, way back in May when I found ECF. Way back then, you actually could post without getting attacked or the threads getting hijacked by people with ulterior motives either slamming one supplier or plugging another.

Good to see the spirit of ECF lives on in our little sub forum.:toast: I don't go to the places I'm still allowed to post anymore because of all the sniping, etc.

I feel the same way. When I first found ECF, the forums were so friendly. In June, I started noticing a lot of bickering and unfriendly people in one of the supplier's forums (they have been around for a long time). I was afraid to post there! The later part of the summer seemed really bad in many of the forums, especially General Discussion and the review threads. I'm glad that ECF changed the rules for posting in the Supplier Review thread. Regardless though, I prefer to post in our friendly junkies' forum. :)
