At 1.3 ohms with 28g I would expect it to heat up rather slow. Pictures would help though. Coil structure, airflow size, lots of factors that could effect performance besides amount of cotton and overall resistance.

Yeah sorry tore it apart to try again. Will post a pic when I finish the next one wife scream time to eat.

If its the clone from fast tech you have to drill out the airhole. I was disappointed with mine until I drilled out the airhole to about an eighth inch. Also if you are using a regulated mod I would suggest only using a single coil to keep your ohms high enough. It just takes too long to heat up two 3 ohm coils. You will probably never get a good vape that way.

Yeah the Vamo V5 can't go below 1.2 ohm. It is the Tobeco clone not from fast tech but from eBay. Easy enough to start over and run new coils. I am curious if I run smaller gauge wire won't it heat up faster? Smaller diameter rather.

I'm pretty sure I tried that at one point and it didn't really work the greatest. I was in the same shoes as you. I ordered a regulated mod from fast tech and saw they had patriot clones for $6 so I just ordered one to see what all the fuss about dripping was.

I just couldn't get good results vaping at 1.2 ohms on a dual coil. I kept wanting to get those big clouds off a little drag but just couldn't get it to work.

After a bunch of research, I ordered a nemesis clone from fast tech and bought a 30 amp limit battery from a local vape shop.(I've heard ordering batteries from ft will cause your order to take quite a bit longer). Built my patriot up to .4 ohms with some 28 ga kanthal, and haven't looked back since. It's great.

Do some research on sub ohming and download a ohms law calculator app. Get a good battery and a multimeter.

For around $50 or less you can be set up to drip at sub ohms, and everything else will seem like a toy. (IMO)
