I have a pretty decent stash of PBC reloaded, and I am debating whether to double down and get stock from newly released batch of the original. Can anyone that has tried them both describe the difference? Is it that noticeable?

To me, the difference is noticeable. The V1 has that roasted, where the cookie meets the pan flavor with just a hint of a salty finish. V2 is more of a sweeter pure peanut butter cookie flavor more like the center of the cookie. Both are excellent in there own right but I find that I really like it best when I either do V1 straight up or mix the two together. Is the new batch like the V1 or the V2?
I was assuming the new batch was the v1, but maybe I misunderstood that. Thanks DB. PBC v1 sounds yummy.
This is probably best answered by Clark or the team. I would have assumed that it was PBC v2, but if its v1, I'm going to have to place an order as I never tried to before. V2 is a really good PB.

I couldn't tell by the description if it was V1, V2 or a new version. Can you enlighten us, Superman? Personally, I was a bigger fan of V1 though I thoroughly enjoyed them both.
The description sounds to me like V1 So I ordered 120 ml. If it turns out that it's V2 I'll prime it with some of the V1 I've been hoarding. To my taste buds V1 is more roasted peanuts, like fresh out of the oven PB cookies while V2 is more like store bought cookies, less peanutty and more cookie, like a dab of Peter Pan peanut butter on a vanilla wafer. Peter Pan is sweeter and runnier than the Jiff I prefer on my favorite peanut butter delivery device, a spoon.
So it seems like:
1) PBC v1 is the undisputed king
2) I have caused confusion by assuming that this new batch is a reboot of the original

I ordered the same amount in the hopes it's a reboot of V1. I like them both but definitely prefer V1.

It's closer to v1 than v2 - I wanted that burnt cookie bottom taste back (like many others). The new batch is fresh - it's best for that when it's fresh. It steeps like a champ, too - I steeped the new v3 out 2 months before we released it.
