That seems excessive...I also am charging with my computer. Did you keep the eRoll in the case, or take it out?

It's in the case

I notice that just now the blue light has gone out but the red light is still on which I assume means the e roll is charged but the pcc isn't yet

so it's taken 12 hours to charge the e roll and the pcc charge is ongoing

I don't know if it makes any difference using the wall charger instead of the usb to computer

Something def doesn't sound right. I would check into getting a warranty replacement--I use the USB charger exclusively (didn't get a wall adapter with my kit) and didn't experience that problem.

That sux!

Edit to add: BTW, I had a defective battery (it whistled loudly every time I pulled on it) and got a replacement. Now no problems.

Well , I'll leave it charging over night and see how it goes

I'm thinking that even if it does charge after all of this time then there could still be an issue with it as it just shouldn't take this long

Anyway, I'll know tomorrow whether or not I need to get a replacement I guess

Cheers

It took all night to charge my ego 900mah on my computer port when I first got it. I thought I had a crappy battery or port, then I researched it and the computer USB port is crap for charging batteries and furthermore since the USB port is directly connected to your motherboard and if that ego battery farts while charging it could blow your mothrboard. Once I read that I now don't charge no IPhone/IPad nor ciggy batteries on my computer USB ports.
It should take bout 2-2 1/2 hours to charge a 900mah battery on a 420 mah/hour charger Just look at the micro print "output" on the charger to see how many mah/hour it puts out.
The one I got with my Ego is 420 mah/hour and another wall charger we bought is 500mah so do the math.
I bought one of those variable voltage USB passthroughs before I came across the blowing of motherboard article, so I now use the passthrough in a powered multiport USB adapter and have it plugged into the wall but not into the computer and it works like a hot damn. I can puff all day sitting at the computer and not use a iota of battery.:D
I also modified the little stubby passthrough with a plastic 5 gallon pail handle so its nice and big and its bout the size of a couple 18650 batteries stacked up so its nice to hold. Also great for in the car cause your not using batteries and having to try to charge them using your cars USB ports inwhich prolly has the same wreck something if the ego battery farts during charging, or have puffed out batteries at your destination.

Some of the USB ports on a computer are power limited in that they are really only meant for operating USB devices, and some are higher power and meant for powering devices or charging. Can you check your computer manual and see? The ports look the same, but there is usually at least one high power port on a computer. Maybe just try a different port if you haven't already....

I only charge of a computer port in an emergency because I find it always seems to take longer to charge on a computer, if I have a mains outlet available I will use that as my first choice every-time.
