Is it ok for me to charge my 510 PCC WITH an empty battery in it? Will it charge both the PCC and the battery? Is it safe?

I have charged mine with the battery in it no problem, but it takes longer. I think the PCc takes almost 4 hrs to charge by itself. so the wait can be irritating.
I wonder if its more efficient. Do you know if it charges them both at the same time, the battery first than the PCC or vice versa?
I think the battery first. If you are using the Joye pcc it will show lights on the front. If you are using the plastic kind it still charges the battery first but there is not a light to tell you that, I dont think.
You can charge your PCC with or without the spare battery. PCC takes longer to charge than just a spare in a charger and charging both with you PCC may add to the time to charge.
