So I ordered a PCC kit from myfreedomsmokes, they sent the wrong one but where great about it and the very next day I had the right kit and shipping materials to send the wrong one back. (Awesome!) After some research I found that the patriot kit is a kr808-d2 model.

My mom loves the PCC but the batteries themselves, not so much. She had to pull extremely hard to get any vapor out of them and now the batteries are all together duds. I'm trying to decide if I should return both kits to them and ask for a refund, or considering I got the PCC kit at an amazing price, and their customer service is great, just toss the duds and get new batteries. I looked around and I found d-2 batteries for $13 at the absolute cheapest, but d-2 items are generally hard to find, more expensive, and lower quality. So my question is - Can I charge a kr808-d1 battery with a kr808-d2 PCC kit?
If I can, I'll order a pair of batteries and some cartomizers and toss the duds,
if not I'll have to return the entire kit back to MFS.
She really loves the PCC as it is in the pack of smokes shape.

No - KR808D-1 and KR808D-2 are near twins but different threads

KR808D-1 is the recommended model and the one 2-piece that new types of blank cartos are made for (Clearomizers, jumbo cartos etc). The KR808D-2 model aka E9 is the 2-piece favor by ripoff rebranders who charge $30+ for a battery etc.

There are D1<>D2 adapters at leCig.com but I do not know if you can use them with the charger. The adapter is meant for using each others cartos.

And note - auto batteries can be killed very quickly. Somebody else here on the forum killed 2 auto batteries in one day. IMO auto batterys are especially at risk with cartomizers since if a carto leaks it will leak right above the hole to the drag sensor of an auto. Some manuals (like KR808D-1) still have a hole there but are not dependent on a drag sensor.

If your mom could fill her own cartos my recommendation would be a manual 510 kit from Cignot, and this PCC

And some standard resistance Boge cartomizers

If you want D2, AzSmokeFree sells and entire 2-battery KR808D-2 kit for under $40 - and note - they list some brands it's compatible with but they are wrong about Bloog. the current Bloog is a KR808D-1

That looks pretty nice!

What the Vapormaxx 510 PCC? Yeah that's the only reason I am using short 510 batteries when I'm out (manuals of course)

You need to take a condom off a carto to fit them in the little round holes.

And guess what - I can fit my spare (already charged) standard KR808D-1 manual battery threaded end up in the non-charging battery hole. And I put both 510 and Kr8 cartos in it. One downside - if you are charging a 510 battery and open the lid you need to remember to restart the charge.

I ended up buying two new batteries, 5 empty carts, and a syringe off of azsmokefree

Myfreedomsmoke said they won't refund it because it was on sale, which is understandable. They do have great customer service and an awesome reputation, so I'll just chalk this experience up to really bad luck.

I'm really getting up there now in e-cig purchases haha. Bought rivas for my mom & uncle along with a good range of e-juices & extra cartridges, then this failed PCC kit, and now the extra batteries to make it work =P

Ah well, you can't put a price on good health ;)

Thanks guys!
