The reason I am asking this is I do not want the battery charged when unnecessary. I read that it will shorten its life.

That's not true on recharging. Read this:

Do and don't battery table
"Do charge the battery often. The battery lasts longer with partial rather than full discharges."

As far as using the PCC as a carry case - it's possible but only if you break it down. A whole ecig put together doesn't fit in the PCC. There are four slots - 2 for cartridges which is nice for either a change in flavor or more of the same flavor. 1 for an atomizer and a cart and 1 for the battery charging.

Even though you may be a light vaper, in a night out (or day) you may have to charge the 510 since the battery is only good for about 1-2 hours depending on your habit. If you're a light vaper then you'll probably get the upper limit. But you still may need to carry the PCC. Best would be to get a cheaper case along with the PCC. Here's what I use when I need the PCC:

Soft Case - Widow's Beadwork

The PCC will fit in there and a small bottle of juice and a few full ecigs even.

Li-ion batteries are immune to the charge wasting effects of "overcharging". You don't need to fully charge them before use, nor do you have to take out any power source once they're fully charged. You don't even have to fully charge them ever if you so choose. The only downside is that they need some sort of charge or they explode. Good news is that you can't really burn it out fully with normal use and it would be very hard to try to make it happen.

Also, trust me, 510 batteries are notoriously weak. The PCC will keep your battery running at a full 3.7 volts for longer which, as you will soon find out, is very important for good vapor. If it goes too much lower it won't heat the atty up enough.

But don't worry about keeping your battery in the PCC, there's not enough power in it to overcharge your battery anyway, and it effectively shuts off when it's fully charged.

Definitely go with the PCC, use it as a carrying case as much as possible, and enjoy. =]

I went to BestBuy and bought a small Digital Camera Case..... It carries my PCC, Kensington Power Pack, extra batteries, extra atomizers, 6 ml bottles of E-Juice and it has two compartments...... There are many sizes and styles...... I think I paid 25 USD......
Would have had a picture, but I don't know how to upload picture to ECF threads....... For a long time travel, I got the Case Logic Diabetic Case and it carries everything, chargers, 30 ml bottles, Mods or anything else......

To determine which you want: A battery lasts about 2 hours of relatively consistent vaping. Longer if you vape less of course. So no pcc means when your away from a wall outlet you'll have 4-6 hours out of your two batteries that come with the kit before you're high and dry. If that's ok with you I would recommend the pelican case because (if it's the one I've seen) it will hold your supplies plus a bottle of liquid and you don't have to break down your 510. For me however that was not ok and the PCC is an absolute must unless you plan on carrying a bunch of batteries. Also important to note is that the PCC charges off a usb port so if you wanna use it in the car you'll want the 12v/usb adapter ($5 from cignot). When a battery is charged on your PCC the charge light begins to go on and off which I'm told is a cycle in which it slightly drains and charges the battery so it shouldn't decrease life. Definitely hasn't decreased the life of mine so far. All and all though the $65 kit is a great way to start because you also get two small bottles of juice and odds are good you may end up wishing you had gotten the PCC. (high and dry sucks!)

OK howZ about this:

They are only good for about 200-300 charges.

It this complete charges?

I know if I charge my Nextel every night, it will last longer (in months, not hours, +length of hours staying charged) than someone who charges after a dead or Low batt.

Other every few day charging person usually has to replace the battery 1+time a year. I can milk one battery for more than a year and a half to two years.

The winter is approaching fast and I would like some sort of case for my 510 PCC, a small bottle of juice, and a fully assembled 510. For me, the perfect case would be just a little bit bigger than the PCC (from cignot), so it would be easy to keep in a pants pocket. Two compartments would be awesome so I could store my juice in one of them, but it is not needed.

That link someone posted to that soft case from widow's beadwork looks nice, but I think it would be too big to carry in a pocket easily.

Does anyone know of any cases that might fit my needs? Anything that you use that works well in pants pocket? Even something that would only hold the PCC and a fully assembled 510 (so minus juice) would be better than nothing. Thanks.

Just an idea, but maybe go to a Best Buy or Wal Mart with your stuff and check out the cases they have for electronics. MP3 holders and the like. I got a cool camera bag that was meant to hold I forget what. Anyway, bring in your stuff and test fit it.
Best of luck!
