a laptop. an extension would work too.

or you could put it in the back usb port on your desktop and let it rest on the floor

I would like to see a PCC that just has a female USB port and comes with a decent length male-to-male USB cord. Would be much more practical I think. I know size is an issue though and it is much easier to just have the short cord.

I don't use it in my computer...got a cheap usb wall adapter. The cord is surprisingly strong, and just hangs there. Been doing it this way for a year now...same PCC.

Actually, you raise a good point; I've read some horror stories about malfunctioning/cheapo USB units possibly damaging equipment; I'll stick with the USB wall adapter too!!!
