Hey everyone, I have some Joye302 (pen style) attys running on the PS Protege at 3.7 as well as the PT for 5v.

Ive gone over to dripping when I realized I got way more vapor without carts, plus it's easier. But ive noticed that every single time I drip, the thing wont put out hardly any vapor at all (basically not working) for about 5-6 long drags worth. Then, the vapor increases greatly for about 5-6 more long drags, until i get the slight burnt taste telling me to drip again.

Does anyone know of this issue, or why this is happening? Ive tried dripping smaller number of drops, between 1 and 7 or 8 drops because i thought i was flooding the atty or something. The more i drip the longer it takes to get it working again:(. Im certainly not discounting user error.

Does this happen to anyone else?

Any help, advice, or knowledge would be very much appreciated!

Hey Brick ... That it does .... 3.7v/4.2v can't handle as many drops as 5v+ can ...

On 3.7v ... I wouldn't drip more than 2 each time. On 5v (considering the Pen is all I use) I put in 3-4 at a time.

Essentially, you get no vapor because the atomizer is trying to heat up such a substantial amount. Lower that amount, and it should heat up faster :)

Also -- Blowing out your atomizers a few times a day, then refilling also helps :)

Awesome! Thanks guys. I need to start with a clean atty and try only 2 drops. I must be on a flooding cycle. I read on here where someone posted that they dripped 7 drops at a time on an 801. Guess Ill do more research next time. Maybe they were using a HV mod.

Steve, the Prodigy is amazing by the way! It really performs so much better than I imagined such a small device could!

(never received that replacement 801 atty though, sent you a PM)

Update: the same thing happens no matter how many drops. I tried out as little as 1 single drop. It takes less time to get it working again with only one drop, but still about 4-5 big draws until it starts producing vapor. Strangely enough, I actually get somewhat of a throat hit and flavor with those first vaporless draws. The worst part is, whenever it does start producing, it only gives about 2 hits before I get the burnt taste.

Any ideas?
