Did you try flipping the nut

yes i did, change the wick on the 1st pen and it still jumpin around in ohms like 2.4 to 2.6 and the nut is screwed all the way on the first one. I did imeo method first from the new vid and the drip tip unscrewed hard, so i went back to the original way. I,m wondering if its the provari's ohms checker, maybe i should just check it with a multimeter and ignore the provaris check of it. Flavor is good too on the first one double wick too.

Thanks River and to everyone else Thanks.

GG noob here and I have an odd question. Just got my Penelope and got her set up and working with no problem. But being a 1.7 carto guy before, my favorite sound in the world is the snap-crackle-pop of a new cartomizer. What causes that sound and are there any tips or tricks for making a coil that would replicate that? I used the ready wire that she came with but I do have some kanthal coming this week. Thanks!

I have a couple of questions.

just received my penelope. Do most of you take it apart and clean it? I was reading about torching the ceramic before using it as well. Do most of you do that?

lastly, I watched two video set-ups. One person used one strand of wick, the other doubled it up. what is the preferred method?

thanks!

Wash all parts thoroughly before using. You do not need to torch the ceramic. Torch your resistance wire red hot before wrapping your coil. Double wick is nice...only single down the channels though...double at the coil.

The double wick is not necessary but helps keep it moist longer. The number of wraps on your coil is solely determined by the length of your resistance wire and the thickness of your wick. The length of your resistance wire (the portion between your NR wire)of course determines the resistance of your completed coil. 3-5 wraps is ideal for your coil.

I am just using the pre-made wire.
