Ok, teach me.
I own two Penelope, the second one is pretty recent, and i have the first one since barely a month.
Now I always read about suggestions to run Penelope/Ody properly, but it would be equally interesting to hear from experienced GG users what could potentially go wrong, and what does more often.
My experience in the last four days: given the opportunity to make some experiments with the second Penny, I tried mesh. Ok that's it for me.
After this disaster I decided to immediately back to the usual wick setup, in fact I had received new wires - what a good opportunity to play around. Four days of struggling. No vapor, bad taste, no hit, impression of blocked air flow. One new wicking a day, constantly getting bad results. Now, I'm obviously not a master (first rebuildable in my life), but at the beginning I always ended up with pretty decent results.
Then I thought about changes, and the only obvious one were the new wires. This evening I found a little bit of the old ones (no idea about materials and reseller, the guy who sold me my first Penny gave me some to get started) and.... here it is again. Excellent vape again.
I bought my wires form wires.co.uk and have Kanthal (0,20 and 0,15) Nichrome (0,20) and Silver (0,20) as no res wire.
Any suggestions?
To european users: where do you buy your wires?
Am I missing some basic steps?
Are there steps you would particularly recommend attention for?
I really would like to understand what happened, and I really would like to keep my wires and be able to use them successfully, I own enough to cover the surface of a football field...

it started at 1.1 ohms it now at 1.4 ohms
