Isn't the buyer supposed to report it and pay it to the State? Or face harsh penalties when or if they get caught?
40%??? That is INSANE
OK 40% is actually "reasonable" compared to 100%. It's not really, just in comparison.
Politicians got paid by someone to try and put the vaping industry out of business. There is no other explanation.
I'd get a P.O. box in a neighboring state and have my stuff sent there. I would probably also mail my governor a scan of my middle finger and tell him to stick that and his taxes up his

Got vape tried charging me 40% on their liquid that I tried ordering.
That's $7.20 tax on a bottle that costs $17.99.

It was called a Floor Tax that all our shops had to cough up on their inventory at the time to *cough cough* bring in some tax money.
Never did of course, most shops here closed

I knew about the PA 40% tax but I've not heard of any states charging 100%
Many states have tried to pass a 100% vape tax but (to my knowledge) all failed. Minnesota has the highest statewide vape tax, Chicago the highest city (local) tax. Here's a map that's now a year old so it doesn't include new taxes passed this year, nor does it reflect restrictions like the face-to-face purchase requirements in Arkansas and Utah;
I also got the 40% tax attempted to be added by vaporbeast. I no longer visit there website, shame really.
All I know for sure is I am so glad I make my own e-liquid, am stocked up with a lifetime of DIY ingredients and if necessary can vape for the rest of my life without having to buy any more battery holders. The looking for their next gravy train can do their baddest and it isn't going to affect me in the least. That doesn't mean I will stop fighting for those that haven't prepared yet though.

Anything more than 8 to 10% is an affront to all sense and reason. A pure attempt to grab as much cash as possible while crippling a budding industry that could save lives.
Actually I thought that Pa was to vote for something different last year.?? Remember when B. Godshall and CASSAA used to keep us updated regularly?
