I swear I really feel for some of you. From the stories it almost sounds like you live in some other horrible country like North Korea, WWII era Germany or maybe Kalifornia. I think I will stay right here in what appears to be the last free State in the Union.
It's getting pretty bad here, and has been. Not sure how the gubmint can get away with a 40% floor tax like this, w/o people revolting- even non-vapers. I mean, who's next??

The sad truth is, most people don't care as long as they aren't affected.

Sometimes it Runs even Deeper than that.

OK... Just for Fun, I typed "PA vape shop" into Google. Got Lots of Results for PA Based Vape Shops.

So I Randomly selected 9 Shops, 3 from each of the first 3 pages of results.

And out of the 9 Vape shop web Sites I visited, NONE of them had any information on them about a PA Tax Petition. Although one had a Very Touching Story about how the Owner quit smoking on Christmas Day for his Children.

So I guess it could be 40 Years of TC Brainwashing that is keeping PA Vaper's from signing that Petition? Or maybe Not Enough PA Vapers know there is a Petition?

I kind of understand they don't want to lose the tobacco tax bonanza with which any state would go bankrupt.
It was always about the money.
    Vape tax 40%
    Medical ......... tax 5%

Yeah... And all of those 480,000 Deaths per year from Smoking don't all happen in PA.

So those Favoring such Taxes can sleep well at night.

Smoke free Pennsylvania even opposes the vape tax because they recognize the most successful smoking cessation method is vaping.
So those favoring that tax sleep just as well, nevertheless.

This thread makes me glad I live in California (even though I hate our own vape tax) and especially glad I moved out of PA.

I got into DIY e juice because of the last tobacco tax that went through here in California and targets vaping.
I would rather stay in PA over California... Cali is the last state I would live.

I think what get's Lost in all of this sometimes is there are a Lot of Smokers in this Country. Smokers who Can't Quit. And a Lot of them Die ever year because of it.

e-Cigarettes can Significantly Diminish that Mortality Rate.

In a Civilized Society, governed by True Leaders, e-Cigarettes wouldn't be seen as something to Lump a Big Fat Tax on. They would be seen for what they are. A Public Health Benefit for those who can Not Quit Smoking.

Yeah..no thanks. spent my first 23 years in NE PA and I much prefer California to it. I go back to visit and thats about it. Beautiful state though.
Different strokes for different folks. I'll just point out that Cali's wholesale tax on vape-goods is considerably higher than PA's.
