I just say "Bless your heart for caring so much" and smile at them. Yes, I am from the South.
I didnt consider it anyone's business when I was smoking, I dont consider theirs now that I am vaping. If its someone I dont know or dont care about I usually just give them an empty stare until they get uncomfortable and walk away. If they persist in standing there I tend to ask rude questions such as who are you again and how did I become your business? If it is someone I actually care about I will take the time to educate but me try to justify myself to someone who has nothing to do with my life nope not me, I have better things to do
I dont think there is anything in world I find as stupid as peoples tendency to need to involve themselves in things that does not concern them, imposing their thoughts and opinions on those that have no need nor desire for them
For sure. And got to vent somewhat similarly to others - I posted a quit anniversary of one month on quitnet site (which i joined before I new about ecigs). When anybody does this there are always at least 10 or many more people encouraging with a "way to go," "yay, keep it up,"etc. But because I am vaping I was completely shunned. Should of known, on that site they use cutesy terms such as Nicodemom for nicotine, yet the counselors actively encourage nicotine patches, gum, and even a psychoactive medication. I guess I can only hope that at least one person thought for themselves and did some vaping research. It's just mean, I feel so good about this and then they turn around and try to stomp on my happiness... It makes me sad for them. They obviously have a pathetic life if they are so intent on stepping on people to make themselves feel high and mighty.

I will repost this from earlier in the thread, in case you missed it...For sure. Having spent some time on a hardcore quit-smoking forum, I've seen the brainwashing first hand.
They call it the Nicodemon.
And they preach the religion of Not One Puff Ever.
They tolerate the gum, patch, and the inhaler because you are not puffing.
And because they are FDA-approved and they have a set plan to reduce and eventually eliminate nicotine intake.
If your goal is not to eliminate nicotine, you are not welcome there.
Simply thank them for stepping on your accomplishment and walk away. Once it sinks in........
I don't care what people think anymore. I am doing this for me and not anyone else. I am off 2 pad that I smoked for 34 years and I did go down to 0 nic. only to bump it up to 2mg. It calms me and satisfies me, what more could I want. I do have a bottle of 6mg for the really bad days if I get them.
I'm also glad that I haven't had to deal with my family saying anything about it. Definitely helps that my wife is super supportive of it, my dad and step-mom both vape. So that's definitely good and something I'm very happy about.![]()
Best post.I've not only received excellent support from my family for giving up the analogs, I've managed to convert my mother to e-cigs a couple of weeks ago and she loves them...she saw how well they've worked for me and decided to try them...she approached me for info on where to get them and how to get started... my cancer surviving, former smoker sister is thrilled by this development...
Keep at it Kid.That's awesome! My go-to juice for when I am stressed is 24mg, lol. I usually stay at 18mg, and I have no intentions, as of right now, to go below 12.
