perfect coil one day, the next, hot spot central

Hi i was wondering why some times when i wrap a coil, it first has no hot spots. A perfect coil and it hits perfect. And then a couple days later, it develops a hot spot on the top coil and i have to re wrap it. Is that normal?

You dont have to re wrap it just fiddle with the coil and they work fine again

yea that happens with my rba.. just gotta take a little screw driver and brush the coils a bit until all is well again

also could be how you store it.. make sure it stays upright as much as possible

used to have it tilted - now its in a mod stand and happens much less

As said above, but... I also find that after a few day my coil gets some gunk built up on it, so a quick dry burn usually fixes any hotspots.

It's important, when initially setting up an genesis type RBA, to check the coils for hot spots at whatever voltage you'll be vaping at. This is especially important for those with vv and vw devices, as well as those setting up RBAs on mechanical mods with partially drained batteries. Just because a coil looks fine at 3.7 volts, doesn't mean a hot spot won't appear at 4.2 volts. If it's set up well to begin with, they usually stay pretty stable.
