Hello, I am looking for help finding my perfect vape. I want a tank, don't want to build my own coils, and am looking for a lot of flavor. I would also like something I can vape on for a while unlike my current setup (Ipv3 li + UWELL Crown tank with pre built .25 ohm dual vertical coils) which downs juice pretty fast. I like a warmish vape and lots of flavor like I said before. As for the mod I may keep my Ipv3 li but I would really like to keep my mech instead (just a pegasus clone but may get a real one if I return my box). Wanting a mech may make it harder to get the other things I want so if going regulated is the better option then thats fine.

Do you make your own DIY Juice? that might be something to look into to help keep your thirsty crown tank full. I mention this as I have the TFV4, and Yea they are thirsty little guys, but the FLAVOR!!! So much better than my subtank, lemo, melo, atlantis, nautilis.... Can you tell I like the simplicity of tanks? I prefer drippers at my house, but I spend an awful lot of time in my car and dripping dont work so well there. Right now Im rocking the hell outta my TFV4 with the tricoil init and downing almost 3 tanks a day. If I was buying juice I couldnt afford it. My point is if your current Crown is working well and giving you the vape you want, perhaps you should keep it and look into DIY juice.

No I don't make my own juice. The UWELL Crown is doing alright, flavor is decent and clouds are nice for a tank but the coil and vapor get too hot too quickly with the .25 dual coil at ~80 watts, turning it down to about 70 watts loses a lot of flavor and vapor production. Since I started vaping, I haven't done anything but sub ohm, wondered if anyone would recommend something with coils above 1 ohm.

from 80 to 70 and you lose alot of vapor and flavor? i understand if you had said going from 80 to 50 but only 10 watts?

No, I see this happening and it makes sense to me. well not sense, but I know it happens. Funny thing with my TFV4 at 85w the flavor is GREAT, 70w its still pretty damn good. 60w not that good. 50w flavors come back but I can taste the little subtle underflavors better than I did at 85w. 85w and up the flavor stays pretty much the same, but the cloud gets bigger adn the tank gets emptier.

Is there and RBA deck for your Crown tank? If so maybe build your own coil? But you said you dont want to build... Perhaps a subtank? they have 1.2 ohm coils... But I think your going to notice a loss of flavor compared to your crown...

Another thought, is your mod TC capable? if so look into a tc coil. you can set the temp lower so the vape isnt as hot with that.

So sub ohming overall is better for flavor? Yes I have the Ipv3 Li TC mod.

well, this is all based on MY limited experience....

With Sub ohm, I tend to get a lot MORE vape which also brings with it more flavor. There are guys that can take a small carto, build microcoils in it that wil knock your socks off with flavor, but sadly I dont know what for of black magic they use. FOR ME building .8 and lower gives me the best vape, best flavor, and best clouds.

With my subtank mini, using the .5 stock occ coil, I was getting really decent flavor adn decent clouds. Building the RBA deck I could get slightly better results. I was going through about 2 tanks a day during my commutes and hitting it in my office when I could. Now with my TFV4 and the factory .2ohm Tri-Coils I get almost to much flavor and the clouds are huge. And subsequently I go through way more juice...

I mentioned TC as you can set the tem of the coils so that you can get a nice WARM vape that isnt hot and it will keep it steady. one issue I was having with Kanthal was to get the performance I wanted I would crank up the power on my IPV4, but the vape would turn hot. With TC, I would set the temp to 400f and then adjust the Joules and still got the vape I wanted at a nice comfortable warmth that I like. Now with my TFV4 this is the first time I have had an air adjustment on the drip tip... I can run the kanthal higher wattage so that the vape is HOT, but I open the airflow in the tip and as I inhale I get 4 jets of cool air with the hot vape. It feels wierd as heck the first few times, but now Im wondering why I didnt get a tip like this earlier.

Im not sure If im even helping you out here... Hope I am. I know the crown is a great tank, and Im not sure if you are going to get a decent replacement that is comparable that isnt nearly as thirsty though and retains the high level of flavor...

Looking at that TFV4 tank makes me want it. I want to try out the .15 ohm quad coil on my mech. Fully charged battery at 3.7V and .15ohm is about ~90 watts and looking at reviews 80-90 watts seems to be the sweet spot for this coil. Assuming I'm probably going to go through even more juice since it's a quad coul though right? What about the nautilus tank on my mech with the stock 1.6 or 1.8 ohm coil head? Rip has a video and it works well it looks like. I either want to go box and temp control only or mech only with prebuilt coils for a tank.

Ive used my nautilus mini on a mech plenty of times. worked fine. I just like a little more horsepower than it gave me. I much prefer a regulated box over my mechs as I get a consistant vape everytime rather than a diminishing vape with each hit as my battery runs down. and I can crank it up if I want to... Just hit my TFV4 at 120w a few times... Loved it, but I dont like running things at their max much at all so I back down to 85w which for mee seems to be my sweet spot with my DIY juice I have it filled with.

How is the vape with the mini on a mech, hot or cold? I like regulated but I love the look of mechs. For me a perfect mod would be a pegasus mod (which I have a clone of now) with VW or TC would be amazing on a mech lol. I think I want to go box and TC mainly. What mod and tank would be best for TC and flavor? Again not too worried about huge clouds. Is making your own juice hard and how does it taste compared to manufacturers that make it? Also, how much cheaper is it?

Diy juice is the best decision I have ever made. Have you ever gotten a juice from a company and thought this is great but I wish there was not this hint of flavor in it, or it had a touch more of his? well with DIY you can do exactly that. I buy a gallon of VG and a gallon of PG for 20 bucks each. Thats 40 bucks for HOW MANY 30ML BOTTLES???? My nic base costs about 15 for a pint but then I mix 1ml of it in 30mls of finished juice.... the cost savings are ridiculous. I grabbed a program on here called E-Juice me up and it coms wit a bunch of recipies preloaded in it. search through them and find one that sounds like you would like it, mix a small batch, and then you can adjust from there. eventually you will have your perfect e juiice.

as to teh nauti on a mech... I got rid of it a while ago adn dont remember how it vaped, I just remember using it for a while that way. it wasnt bad, but once I tried a dripper i seldom picked up my nauti again. ended up giving it to a friend that was interested in quitting cigs and wanted to try a vape.

Right now my favorite setup I have is my IPV4 with my TFV4 on it. Flavor for days, and as I normally mix my juice at 3.5mg nic just a couple hits on this thing has me feeling the buzz. Gonna have to make a batch of juice that is 2.5mg nic... I was using my subtank mini with TC. set at 410f at 30J with a NI200 28g 7 wrap 2.5mm coil that was .08ohms gave me a nice controlled vape. pleasantly warm, never got hot. no dry hits. great flavor.

I have this plume veil clone and I have some 28g kanthal and 28g ni200 wire. I have done some single coil and dual coil builds but can't get flavor and just get dry hits for some reason. I wanna try your 28g ni200 7 wrap but I have a 2.4mm, will it make a difference?

no it wont really. Your oms might be a slight bit different than mine as there will be a slight less bit of wire used, but 2.4 to 2.5 I bet the difference will be minuscule.

Just tried it out, ohmed out at .25 put it at 410f and 30J, first hit nasty dry as hell. What is wrong??
I just held the fire button down for about 3 seconds with the top cap off and it caught fire, what the?
