well, this is all based on MY limited experience....
With Sub ohm, I tend to get a lot MORE vape which also brings with it more flavor. There are guys that can take a small carto, build microcoils in it that wil knock your socks off with flavor, but sadly I dont know what for of black magic they use. FOR ME building .8 and lower gives me the best vape, best flavor, and best clouds.
With my subtank mini, using the .5 stock occ coil, I was getting really decent flavor adn decent clouds. Building the RBA deck I could get slightly better results. I was going through about 2 tanks a day during my commutes and hitting it in my office when I could. Now with my TFV4 and the factory .2ohm Tri-Coils I get almost to much flavor and the clouds are huge. And subsequently I go through way more juice...
I mentioned TC as you can set the tem of the coils so that you can get a nice WARM vape that isnt hot and it will keep it steady. one issue I was having with Kanthal was to get the performance I wanted I would crank up the power on my IPV4, but the vape would turn hot. With TC, I would set the temp to 400f and then adjust the Joules and still got the vape I wanted at a nice comfortable warmth that I like. Now with my TFV4 this is the first time I have had an air adjustment on the drip tip... I can run the kanthal higher wattage so that the vape is HOT, but I open the airflow in the tip and as I inhale I get 4 jets of cool air with the hot vape. It feels wierd as heck the first few times, but now Im wondering why I didnt get a tip like this earlier.
Im not sure If im even helping you out here... Hope I am. I know the crown is a great tank, and Im not sure if you are going to get a decent replacement that is comparable that isnt nearly as thirsty though and retains the high level of flavor...
