I've printed up a stack of cards with the shorter URL to take to a wedding tomorrow.
With one of the guests bringing a couple of bottles of primo bourbon up from Kentucky with him it'll be a race whether the cards or the bearer is passed out first. o_O
I'll do ya'll proud! :D

Something I am missing: does it really matter if there are 19,000 or 21,000 signatures?

P.S. Sure, I prefer 1,000,000 signatures...
Would you rather have a higher number or a lower number?

We would prefer 1,000,000 also. Think we have a chance? Maybe if the FDA continues to take their time....

If you're referring to the running tally we keep here, it's for various reasons...

to "bump" the thread

to keep morale up

to notice if there is a big jump so we can figure out who to thank for it!

It was something like a joke. Lame one, but I've been keen.

I agree, the longer they take to make a decision the more likey it will be based on the truth, and thats what we expect.

It all helps - as does this, just spotted in another thread:

Spending bill exempts e-cigs from FDA review | TheHill

Partial snip:
"Republicans blocked an amendment Wednesday that would have removed a provision from a spending bill exempting electronic cigarettes and other products from the Food and Drug Administration’s pre-market review process."

Sort of convoluted language, but it seems there's a provision IN the spending bill that exempts ecigs from the FDA review, and there was an attempt to amend the spending bill by REMOVING that provision. That attempt FAILED.

Keep up the pressure, folks!!

I posted about this in another thread. Unfortunately I haven't found the text of the bill available for public viewing to find out what that provision says. I only know so far that the provision doesn't classify e-cigs as medical or tobacco.
