Signed! Tbh I am not aware of any such movement to deem these as a "tobacco products" but with the current political issues I am not surprised... here's the thing. tobacco is a plant. It used to grow wildly, along with... other things.... in this country prior to government and alcohol monopolizing entities taking it over. Nicotine is an ingredient, a chemical, it is not "tobacco". It is not regulated, nor directly taxed. Tobacco is taxed and regulated. Therefore, there is no legality in them trying to controlling vape products.

Thank you for signing! @Lessifer started the petition a long time ago and much has happened since then. Nicotine is taxed in CA at a pretty hefty rate. Let's forget that nicotine is also in tomatoes, cauliflower, potatoes etc., and is also beneficial for things ranging from Turrets Syndrome to Alzheimer's.

This thread, which now often goes off topic, chronicles the ongoing government follies of trying to rid of vaping. Deeming Regulations have been released!!!!

These are self explanatory.

Media and General News

Legislation News

FDA Regulations

It's an increasingly frustrating fight not only here but abroad. :(

Just be careful, the more you learn about what's going on, and follow the money, the more you start sounding like a conspiracy theorist. All most of us here wanted to do was quit smoking and vaping was the only thing that worked, not spend chunks of our time weeding through scientific, and "scientific," studies rooting out the facts from the junk science. Right now junk science is winning. :(

Sadly, while patently untrue, one of those new things it that, in the eyes of the FDA, stainless steel and pyrex are made out of tobacco.

Just found out my batteries contain nicotine, as do my bottles.
