If you can't take the word of a seasoned DYI'r then who can you trust. Have you done any research on this company and sampled there product first hand or know there track record well I have.

Or is this just an uninformed opinion?

Umm, HUH? Well, food grade as opposed to pharmaceutical grade is posted here:

Purity of PG, VG and PEG - The Short Version | E-Cigarette Forum

I don't take "anyone" at their word and do my own research.

As for the vendor? Well them selling food grade vg and pg as being suitable for ecigarette usage, then yes, I would classify them as unethical at the least. I will not be sampling any of their "food" grade product.

So you are siting one member (from five years ago) to say another member is wrong and then say you did your research. Your wrong. Research involves buying a bunch of material and seeing how they are. What you did was use a search feature.

You just posted in another thread that NONE of the vendors you checked list "Pharma" grade. So if they all are food grade and you wont use food grade, just who are you going to buy from?

To all other members, Essential depot is a well used and long trusted vendor.

@noway: This is USP grade VG/PG, as in US Pharma grade. If it is USP, then by default it is also food grade, which has slightly lower purity standards than USP. Not sure where your concern is, but these products are up to specs and quite good. Fantastic price, too!

I'm sorry that you didn't read, or cannot comprehend the post that I included. Here, I'll quote it for you:

"It is possible that a USP product can be either pharma grade or food grade. The USP designation only refers to a general production regime and does not cover the exact contaminants as long as the minimum standard is met. So a USP product might be considered safe for inhalation; or it might, on test, prove inadvisable to inhale. The only product that is guaranteed to be suitable for inhalation is a product that is (a) designated by the manufacturer as Pharmaceutical Grade, and that (b) also has a provable license for inclusion in a specific inhalable medicine."

So, no, I'm sorry you are "WRONG".

So what other lies will you 'try' to feed me next? Follow blindly and live in ignorance.

BTW, USP = United States Pharmacopeia

Please, stop all this nonsense.

So, in plain second language English:

In short: USP as you know means pharma grade. It is cleanest product available in retail. Nobody guaranty that USP is safe to vape, it is just safer than all others similar products of lower purity. Happens so that if an edible thing has USP grade it automatically has Food grade (food grade is lower than USP).

VG and PG from Essential Depot are of USP grade, so they are also of food grade .

Umm, no. USP is an organization.

U.S. Pharmacopeial Convention

USP is not a grade. The 'P' does not stand for pharmaceutical, actually this is a play on words by those trying to hide the facts because they don't actually put the whole word, pharmacopeial which is not a grade and is in fact the name of an organization.

Pharmaceutical Grade PG
